It was a few days later, just before everyone returned, that I learned how truly different my twin and I were.

I was sitting in the common room, looking over the potions book Hermione gave me when Harry walked up to me. We haven't really spoken since Christmas, but the look on his face showed me he had something important to say. I set my book aside, looking at him.

"I have something important to show you."

"What is it?"

"Not here. Not now, meet me here tonight after everyone goes to bed."

I quirked my eyebrow at him but nodded. He gave me a small smile before leaving me to my book. What was so important that he couldn't tell or show me now?

That night I met him in the common room. He motioned for me to join him under his cloak and I did so. I had to admit, it was very cool to walk around the school at night with no worries about getting into trouble. Harry walked through the halls like a pro, turning us in every direction with such certainty.

We reached a door in no time flat and slipped inside. Harry made sure the door was closed behind us before taking the cloak off. In Front of us was an ornate golden mirror with inscriptions along the edge. I could tell they were some form of Latin but I couldn't understand it.

"Here, hurry."

Harry pulled me to the mirror and he stopped in front of it. I saw him smile but I could only see the two of us in the mirror.

"Harry, what are you smiling at?"

"It's our parents! Ron said he saw something different, but I figured you would see the same as me. Here, stand here."

I indulged him and stood where he stood, then looked in the mirror. In the mirror I did see my parents, their smiling faces showering me in false comfort. I looked to my right, noting Harry was still in the mirror, his smile reflecting back at me. But to my left was Theo.

"What do you see?" Harry asked hurriedly. "Do you see our parents?"

"Yes, and you do too." I said, looking at him. "What is this?"

"Don't know, found it the other night. I see our parents, I'm standing with them."

"What about me?"

Harry stayed silent and I looked back at the mirror. My brother still stood there, his smile wide. I knew now that it wasn't Harry that stood next to me. My eye fell upon Theo who hooked an arm around my mirror's version neck, smiling wide.

"Harry, this isn't real." I said, looking back to my twin. "What we're seeing can't be real."

"Right you are, Enola."

Both Harry and I turned on our heels, our faces showing our shock. There, in all his glory, was Dumbledore. Instead of chastising us he just smiled.

"This mirror doesn't show the truth. It shows us our deepest desires."

I looked back at myself in the mirror, noting how Theo was now giving a flirtatious smirk. I looked away quickly, knowing that it wasn't him.

"Harry, you see your parents, standing next to you as if they were still alive. But you said you don't see your sister?"

Harry shook his head no. I looked down, trying to hide my hurt from it. Harry didn't see me in the family he truly desired.

"And Enola, you see your parents and your twin. Am I right in assuming another person is in the mirror as well?"

"Yes sir." I said, barely above a whisper.

Harry looked at me before back at the mirror, as if it would show him who else was with me. Dumbledore gave me a knowing gentle look before taking a few steps closer to us.

"It would be best if the two of you returned to your rooms. And don't go looking for the mirror again, as it will be moved tomorrow."

Harry looked startled by the information, as if Dumbledore was taking away his only family. Dumbledore fixed Harry with a serious look at this.

"It's best not to dwell on the past, and forget to live. Or forget what you have already in your life."

Dumbledore motioned to me and now I looked down. He was calling Harry out for not seeing me in his perfect vision.

Harry and I left the room before slipping under the cloak once again. We hurried back to the common room and separated to our rooms. I layed in my bed, thinking over what had just transpired that night. What I truly desired versus what my twin desired.

I had no idea why Theo appeared in that mirror, or why it brought a warmth to my cheeks by his smile and smirk. As I slowly fell asleep I repeated to myself that the mirror must have been trying to trick me, to show me something I didn't really want. I repeated that to myself so much that I almost believed it. Almost.
