*In the previous chapter.*
"Ash! It's time for training, come quick!", Aaron's voice came from inside.
"Sorry, Serena, but I have to leave," Ash replied as he walked inside for his morning training.
Serena simply smiled and blushed as she saw Ash leave. But her eyes widened as a hand stopped her lips and pulled her off the balcony. She, too, was unable to call Ash for help.
*Now.*
*Time prior to the kidnap.*
A man walked into a hall-like space where he was going to meet with his boss. He was dressed in a sap green T-shirt with a belt that crossed in the middle. That man's name was Silver.
He moved forward to greet his boss, who was sitting on a sofa in the hall's center. He walked up to the sofa and spotted his boss and his secretary.
"So everything is in control?"
"Yes, sir, Team Rocket is now completely under our control."
"Great. Now tell me, who's left out of the three?", enquired the guy.
"Sir, there is just one remaining. His name, if I recall correctly, was Ash Ketchum. ", Silver responded.
"Ash huh,... Do you know where he is?"
"Yes, sir, he's in the Kingdom of Rota, according to our spies."
"So, he's hiding in Rota. Go after him there and kill him. I don't want him to get in the way of my plans."
"But, sir," a voice said, "I don't believe that would be a good idea." Then a man in a lab coat entered the hall. He was, of course, Lysander.
"But why?" Silver said as their leader sat silently listening to them.
"Because he's too powerful to be beaten," Lysander explained.
"But we have troops capable of destroying regions overnight," Silver remarked.
"Silver, he is correct. We must not underestimate our enemy, especially Ash. That's a mistake I've made before.", their leader said.
"What should we do, sir?" Silver inquired.
"Any closed ones?", inquired their leader.
"No, sir, there was just one, his mother, but he was killed by Lysander," Silver explained.
"Friends?" he inquired once again.
"Yes, sir," Silver said, "but everyone is protected after Lysander's attack on them." "But, sir, he does have a girl living with him."
"Then kill her," their leader instructed.
"No, sir; if we kill her, he will destroy us. We should instead use her against him.", Lysander remarked with a devilish grin.
That man grinned maliciously as he understood what he meant.
*Now in the present with Ash.*
It was late afternoon. Ash had just gotten back from his morning training. He entered the Castle's flower garden.
"Everybody out!" he said as he tossed multiple Pokeballs into the air, causing all of his Pokemons to emerge.
They all greeted him with a happy yell.
"Guys, it's lunchtime," he remarked as he knelt and began serving all of his Pokemons, Pokemon food, and berries. Everyone began to eat. But Ash had a feeling that something was wrong. He noticed Serena was always there when Ash served meals to his Pokemons, but she wasn't this time. He then gazed up to her room's balcony and stared blankly at it, wondering about her. When Pikachu, who was eating his lunch to the side, noticed Ash looking blankly at the balcony of Serena's room, he asked, "Pikapi?"
