Why was it so difficult to understand what Jungkook is thinking and doing?

For couple of days now, Silver Moon decided to lay low for a while as they think of a greater plan to outsmart Raven Scale. This means more free time for everyone and more chances of Jungkook and Ami bumping into each other. Although Jungkook has been doing nothing but avoiding her, the fact that they now live under the same place and most likely will see and will work together as well makes Ami feel ansty. Something about the boy is definitely not making any sense to her.

Some of the days, Jungkook would act really distant or even rude whenever she's around. But! There are also days that he would stare at her as if he'd like to skin her alive for being closer to his hyungs. And! Sometimes Jungkook would approach her idly just staring at her with his unreadable expression. Yet these days, Jungkook is showing awkwardness and shyness whenever she tries to strike a conversation.

This is one of those days that she again tried to talk to him when he was just silently observing her. From a distance as she have herself busy talking to Jimin, she saw Jungkook's eyes burn on her whole being so without further much thinking, she looked back and hesitantly send a small smile on his way. Of course, Jungkook's eyes widened in surprise as he realized that Ami just gave recognition to his obvious stare. He took a small gulp and had his lips fall into a thin line before they slowly and hesitantly curl up in a small smile and nod.

Ami can only shake her head in confusion. She closed her eyes and turned her head away from Jungkook. "Still not in good terms with him, I see." Jimin mused as he watched the small interaction.

Ami let out a huge sigh. "I just don't get it! I — we... Our relationship is just so weird, I don't understand what we are!"

Jimin quirked a brow. "Well what do you want to be? What relationship do you want with him?"

"I-I don't know! At least something that feels more reassuring that this very confusing pull and push type of — I don't even know if I should call this friendship or relationship!" Ami takes in a huge amount of breath as she make sure mot to look back at Jungkook who's obviously still staring, but not hearing whatever she's saying.

Jimin shook his head at her. "Just talk to him normally... Jungkook is really unpredictable. I don't really know or want to know what happened between the two of you, but I best advice that you don't read too deep into his actions. If you want to be friends then just be there for him and talk to him... Be his friend."

Ami thought about it.

Jungkook did not exactly told her that he hates her or to leave him alone. In fact, the said man is always anywhere she is. He wasn't avoiding her too much, but is also avoiding to talk to her alone as if he's scared that her voice could break his fragile being. Ami didn't know whether she wanted to be friends with Jungkook tho. She seriously feel something for the said man and what happened between them is way beyond what an acquaintance or a friend would do. For heavens sake! We had sex twice! — well, almost trice... She muttered under her breath as she contemplates what she and Jungkook have again.

Ami stare at Jungkook who's now busy with his phone or just pretending to be busy on his phone. She decided that, no matter what, she wanted a title or something solid with Jungkook, so just like that she followed Jimin's advice and started helping herself be friendly with Jungkook.
