She's my mate - Chapter 1

! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

I groaned and rolled over and slammed my hand down on the alarm clock. I was somewhere between sleep and the real world and I didn't want to get out of bed. I was way too tired to be getting up at 7:00am in the morning.

"Alex...it's time for school get up" Nick yelled banging on the door.

"Ugh I don't want to" I yelled.

Why can't he just go away? I'm tired and I don't want to get up for stupid school. It's boring and you just sit there for eight hours listening to old people talk about stuff you will never use in your life.

"Alex if you're not up and down stairs in 15 minutes I'm getting the water bucket" Luke yelled from my door. The thing you should know about Luke is that if he says he's going to do something then he will.

I jumped out of bed and ran into my bathroom. I quickly hoped in the shower and washed my body. I got out and to my closet and grabbed a pair of grey skinny jeans and a V neck black and red checked top on and put a little eyeliner and some mascara on. I grabbed my backpack, IPod touch and phone and headed down stairs. Everyone was rushing around to grab last minute things as I went to the kitchen. I grabbed a bowl, a spoon, milk and some coco puffs and made breakfast. I sat at the table and started to eat. I was taking a bite when I was hit upside the head and I turned to look at who it was.

"Damn it Jake what was that for?" I yelled at Jake.

"Don't hit your sister Jake" Dad said walking past and hit Jake upside the head.

"Ah don't be like that sis I was just playing with you" Jake said sitting next to me rubbing the spot where dad hit him on the head.

"Whatever Jake" I said and went back to eating.

"Hey can I ride with you today Alex" Jake asked.

I stared at him for a minute then shook my head

"You forgot to get gas didn't you" I asked him and he looked down for a minute.

"Yah"

"I guess I can give you a ride" I said. My brothers and I all drive our own cars to school because we're always doing different things after school from hanging out with friends to dance, football, soccer and a lot of other things. I usually just come home because I'm lazy and don't really want to play sports.

I own a black jeep, Nick owns a blue jeep, Dayton owns a hummer and his is navy blue, Jake owns a land rover and Luke owns a black truck. We all have big cars because we live in the mountains in Battleground, Washington.

"Alex come on we are going to be late" Jake said pulling me up. I quickly grabbed my bag and keys and ran to my jeep because I don't like being late. We took off to the Battleground High School, Home of the Tigers.

When we got to the school Jake got out and went to his friends I was heading to my friends when I noticed everyone was around something or someone. I didn't really have time to go see because the principle stopped me.

"Miss Silverman just the person I was looking for. We have a bunch of new students and I want you to show them around the school today. They all moved up here from New York. There are 17 of them. Do you mind doing it?" Mr Freeman asked.

"No. Not at all where are they?" I asked. Hell if I didn't have to go to a couple of classes, I would do almost anything.

"Follow me" Mr Freeman he said as he led me to a big group of kids that I now know were surrounding the new kids.

"Okay everyone, get to class" Mr Freeman yelled and everyone started to leave. Mr Freeman isn't someone you want to mess with.

When we got to the students I saw 6 girls and 10 boys. Only a couple of the kids looked like each other. Wait isn't there supposed to be 17 kids not 16? Maybe one's sick from the move or something. Well, I probably see him/her soon.

"Hello everyone, this is Alex and she's going to be showing you all around today. She'll show you where all your classes are and then you can go to lunch. After lunch you will go to your afternoon classes" Mr Freeman said and left.

There was an awkward silence between us.

"Hi, I'm Jordan" One of the girls said as she stepped up to me.

"Hi" I said smiling

"You all ready to go?" I asked and they nodded their heads.

I took all of them around the whole school and showed them their classes. They were all of different ages and their classes were spread out in the whole school. Finally, after showing them their last class we went to the cafeteria.

I got a slice of pizza and a drink and sat with the new kids to eat. I felt bad for ditching my friends but they wanted to know all wanted to know more about the school and so, I told them.

Finally, I sat down in my last class of the day. Thank god for that, I was tired. Being a school tour guide is not an easy job. Trust me.

"So" Taylor said.

"What" I asked.

"You got to hang out with the new kids this morning. Anyone you like" she asked .Taylor was always trying to hook me up. She wanted me to have a boyfriend and only God know why.

"Taylor for the last time stop trying to hook me up" I told her shaking my head.

"No Alex. I am making it my mission to get you a boyfriend before our senior year, even if it kills me" she declared.

"Whatever you say Taylor" I said brushing it off.

"I will" I could tell she was determined. I hope she doesn't do something stupid.

"Girls shut up and listen" Mrs Rose yelled at me and Taylor. We quickly looked at the board and started taking notes.

School was over now and Jake asked me to wait 10 minutes for him after school. So here I was, sitting on the hood of my black jeep, waiting for my brother. I saw the new kids all pile into 6 different cars. A couple of the girls waved at me and I waved back. One girl was talking to Jake and oh god no, he was not going to talk to girls and make me sit here. I got in my car and backed out I stopped right next to Jake and the girl. I got out and gave Jake the look that screamed 'RUN'.

"Jake you are not going to talk to girls and make me wait here" I said grabbing his ear pulling him to the backseat.

"Come on sissy just a couple more minutes" he whined.

"Quit whining Jake. I said No" I said sternly. He said bye to the girl and got in. On the way home, we passed the house before ours. It was 4 miles from our house but we were still neighbours. It looks like the new kids moved into the mansion. They looked our way as we drove by.

When I got home I went up to my room to change into running clothes. I loved running in the woods. It was peaceful and always helped me calm down. I went out of the backdoor and started to run through the woods. I was running so hard I could feel my heart beating against my chest. I needed a break so I stopped. I doubled my hands on my knees as I gasping for air. I was pretty far into the woods and I could hear the creek up ahead. I was almost to the end of our property. I couldn't stand any longer so I sat on the ground against a tree.

I looked up and what I saw wasn't something I expected to see.
