Dumbledore wasn't having a great day. No,in fact he was frightened and truly terrified on what the future would now hold. Earlier that day when he was enjoying a sherbet, that was lemon flavored:much to his short lived delight. When one of his devices that told him the status of one Hemlock Potter went off.
Thinking it was nothing at the time, he simply waved it off. After all,it was the one that told him that she left the border of her home, but he also took in the fact that it was summer and no doubt the family would be enjoying a fantastic vacation together.
But as the minutes quickly ticked by and his sherbet was quickly licked clean more of his devices went off. The only thing keeping him sane at the moment was the one that told him if Hemlock had passed remained silent. But every last one of them but that one had screamed and terrorized his ears.
Ergo, with a pop he appeared on the doorstep that the Wizards hero was last seen. And much to the old mans shock and awe he could feel the tremendous magic that coated the air. It felt like home,it felt warm. There were no words to explain it. But his joy and awe was quickly replaced with ever growing dread when Petunia, little Hemlocks aunt snared and sneered telling him she hopes that little freak is dead in a ditch somewhere.
So,with a sigh,he pointed his wand at the woman and used a compulsion charm. He followed the woman as she showed the wizard the girls room. And when he saw the little cupboard she slept in was when he felt his heart completely shatter in a million tiny pieces. 'Why?' He asked. Tears on the verge of twinkling down. He watched as the woman seemed to be unfazed at his state. She simply pointed her head in the air,a nasty sneer on her face.
'Because she's a freak and Lilly's daughter. She's lucky when she was on the front porch we didn't drop her at a bloody orphanage. It would've saved my family so much trouble had we.' Petunia answered. Walking away from the old wizard as she impatiently held the door open:a clear sign for him to leave the house.
So,with a heavy heart he did just that. But not before warning the shallow woman who let her greed and jealousy consume her. 'Karma will be back,Petunia. It'll strike when you least expect it. When everything seems perfect, karma will strike. And for our sins combined I dare say we'll barely be holding onto life when she's finished. Because,we both allowed a child to be mistreated.' He solemnly finished. Not caring about the door that slammed in his face.
With a heavy sigh,Dumbledore left in hopes to find the little hero and hopefully right what should've been rightened on that fateful Halloween night:but he instead let the innocent man rot away in prison. Oh,how deep his sins run,his past lover would laugh joyfully at his dismay. But hopefully,he'll be able to correct them.

Hello~ I just thought it was important to warn you all. There will be Dumbledore bashing, but at the same time he's human. Ergo,my hopes is showing a more humanized old fart. I don't particularly like him but then I remember he's a war scared man that has to do everything within his power to stop or prevent the next one.
So,of course he'll use everything at his disposal. Because in war, you'll have to throw your set morals away and do things you never thought you could do as a kid. Which is what you'll see should you continue this story. And yes,he'll be manipulative, because let's be real the man should've been a Slytherin, but he's also a human. He'll feel the weight of everything he's done. How many lives he screwed thinking it was for the best and our little Hemlock is just the tip of the the iceberg. Anyways,I hope you enjoyed and should you feel nice enough I do enjoy when people comment. Even if it's to complain about my unset writing schedule. Or to tell me how terrible my writing is~ Anywho, have a fantastic day lovelies.
