Chance encounter

I walked into a cafe on my break and sit down for a warm cup of lemon honey tea. "Spring is such a busy season for weddings, I barely have time to catch my breath" I sigh as I grab my cup. In the back of the cafe was a commotion, I assumed it was probably another beautiful girl getting proposed to by a man who truly loved her. I, myself, had no such luck with men, one was in another relationship, another used me, and then there was the over-controlling boyfriend. I get up to pay for my order when I get an email from work, I look down at my phone and continue to walk to the counter when I bumped into something firm yet soft. I look up to see an annoyed Danny Phantom trying to avoid a group of screaming fans. Danny was an experienced gamer and famous entertainer known for his movies staring him as an eighteen-century British gentleman. I staggered a bit but he clutched my arm to steady me. "Sorry," we both say at the same time and chuckle.  Danny leaves the store but I can't help but watch his handsome features as the sun hits his glowing skin. I sigh and pay my bill and leave the cafe, as I left I didn't notice Danny's brown eyes watching me leave.

I arrive back at work and continue, I type away at my computer as again a commotion arises. As I continue my work on planning a beautiful wedding at an old castle a coworker approaches me. She nervously speaks, "s-someone is here and asked for you, they didn't know your name, but they said they have something belonging to you." "Thank you," I slowly arise from my chair not sure what to expect from a visitor who only knew me from a description. What was it, an unhappy customer, a person who specifically asked for my work, an ex-boyfriend? Thoughts fill my mind as I walk to the front of the building, hearing laughter increase. To my shock, the devastatingly handsome Danny was sitting at an empty desk chatting up my coworkers. Men and women alike surrounded Danny, he must be here to plan a proposal I thought as I walked up to our receptionist. "Someone asked for me?" I ask her, Danny steps forward and speaks, "That would be me, I'm Danny and you dropped these" he hands me a pile of my business cards that must have fallen from my pocket when we bumped into each other. "Erm thank you very much," I managed to slip out, "but you didn't have to find me and return these. It must have been out of your way..." He stops me, " It was no trouble at all, don't worry about it." He gets up to leave and waves, "maybe we'll meet again." And with that, he was gone.  I watch him leave as I hold the business cards to my chest. Such a beautiful man, I think, the black of his roots peeking out from under his white fluffy hair, his perfectly sculpted smile, and the way his presents brought a sense of warmth from the spring wind.

That night, after getting done with my shower, I received a text message "Hey, it's Danny, Danny Phantom from earlier. I got your number off of one of your cards, hope you don't mind. :P I was wondering If we could talk. Could you meet me at the cafe for some coffee if you're not busy?" I responded " ummm sure, ig" I dried my hair and got ready.
