Victor walked up the steps to the DWMA. It had been a few days since he had dealt with the drug dealer and he had the files on Corvus in his back pack. Evan was following his partner up the steps.
“The fact that we’re late means we have to go to class if we want to give Corvus the papers,” Evan sighed, “This is going to be so lame.”
“Why don’t we just leave after we give him the papers?” Victor looked back at his partner.
“Because then we have to face whatever stupid punishment Professor Courteau comes up with,” Evan said as he and Victor reached the top of the stairs and walked quickly to their classroom.
“It’s already bad enough that we have to write all these papers for him,” Victor complained as they reached the classroom. They walked into the class room and the professor was already lecturing.
“..we’re going to be practicing…” Victor and Evan were not paying attention to what the professor was saying, instead they were scanning the seats for Corvus. Victor spotted the meister and motioned for Evan to follow him. Corvus was sitting four rows up next to his weapon partner. Corvus was taller than Victor, with fair skin and blue eyes. He had a shaved head with dirty blonde roots. He stood out slightly because he was wearing a long dark brown robe with a loose fitted leather robe underneath, and dark brown cloth pants with a belt that had several pouches hanging from it. His partner was quite opposite in terms of clothing. She was a young African American student with long straight black hair in a ponytail. She had dark brown eyes and wore a brown robe like Corvus, underneath was a tan tank top that showed her stomach. She was wearing tan pants that fit tightly to her, the same pouches on her belt as Corvus. She was shorter than Corvus by about a foot.
“Corvus right?” Victor sat down next to the older student, Evan taking a seat next to him. Corvus looked over at the younger miester.
“Maybe,” Corvus said, his voice low, “Who’s asking?” His partner’s head was leaned forward to look at Victor.
“Corvus relax,” She put a hand in front of his desk space, “they’ve been in this class with us all year.”
“I know that,” Corvus looked back at her, “but why talk to us all of a sudden?” He turned back to Victor.
“I have something for you,” Victor produced the files from his bag, “I found these at a drug lab run by the local Cartel. They call themselves the Knights Templar according to these files.”
“You read through all of this?” Corvus scowled looking at the meister.
“No,” Evan leaned forward, “I did, Vik here wouldn’t have the patience for that.” Victor smiled rubbing the back of his head in slight embarrassment. “This drug lab was a low level part of their organization but still I think the orders came from…”
“Evan!” Professor Courteau called from the bottom of the classroom, “do you care to repeat what it was I was just explaining?”
“Well sir,” Evan’s tone became sarcastic, he was not looking down toward the professor “you were explaining about the upcoming test or something but rather than repeating you I’d much rather tell you to fuck off.” The professor’s face was angry.
“Alright class,” The professor turned towards two students who were sitting in the corner by the board and motioned for them to stand. “I was going to dismiss you early but because of Mr. Shields attitude I think you all need a demonstration of proper defense resonance. Ray and Kenshin here will be showing you how.” Ray was a large student, taller than Corvus. He had short blonde hair and blue-grey eyes with light skin. He was wearing black jeans and a chainmail shirt over his black t-shirt. He was well built and stood tall over the professor. Kenshin was a much shorter Japanese student with long black hair that he wore pushed back into a ponytail that fell down to his back. He was wearing a simple black uniform with a tie, over it was a black haori. He smiled happily at the professor.
