Baby It's Cold Outside,  by Frank Sinatra played on a record player in the background while the scent of chocolate and mint drifted heavenly through the air. The soft hums of music mixed with the gusty winter wind outside, and even with the blast of the heater filling the house with warmth, cold chills still managed to find their way to unwilling participants. Hence what would make this lovely evening much more nicer is how warm it was under the fleece throw and quilt it was beside Zhongli. At least Tartaglia could argue it was the most relaxing thing and the best, too, for being at home alone on the holidays wasn't quite welcoming, but seeing as Zhongli had come over to visit for a little christmas party Childe was holding for his friends and family, and then Zhongli stayed over for a stay-at-home date consisting of christmas movie for just the two of them privately after the guests left, and Tartaglia was just enjoying peaceful company of his beloved boyfriend afterwards.

With the crackling of the fire in the background and the feeling of his boyfriend's arms around him, Tartaglia was sure he was going to doze off, if it wasn't  for Zhongli starting to sit up, who was also beginning to doze off if it wasn't for his eyes glancing at the clock on the wall and noticing what time it was.

"It is getting quite late. I should be heading off now," he said tiredly, beginning to gently push Tartaglia off to him, whom blinked from suddenly being awake entirely again, and looked up at the older male with a frown.

"Don't go, Zhongli-sensei. It's not that late, and besides, it's so much more warmer here than out there!" he tried to playfully argue, leaning back against Zhongli who sighed again.

Sometimes Tartaglia just had to be such a child.

"Childe, please-"

"Just a little longer, Sensei~"

"I really can't stay–"

"Sensei~"

Now Zhongli was stuck between Tartaglia and a hard place. If he kept denying the other, he was going to feel bad, and it wasn't like Zhongli disliked the idea of staying, but his reasoning skills and logic was sometimes what guided his moral compass far too often. And he wasn't always sure when he should act upon them or the temptation Tartaglia would often give him.

"Ahem, Childe... It is late, and I have work tomorrow morning. I'm afraid I do not have time to amuse you tonight. Besides, there is a lot of cleaning up to do.." Zhongli began to try and explain, ignoring how playful that smirk on Childe's face was as he began to slide a hand up Zhongli's soft, white turtleneck sweater, and lean into the crook of his neck.

And the hot breaths of the other on his skin, his touching under the shirt, it made Zhongli lightly flush. "We.. we s-shouldn't ..." he murmured– more to himself than Childe, and though Zhongli didn't fight back, and just stared weakly into Tartaglia's pale blue hues and tried to focus on keeping composure.

"Just a little. Just a kiss?" Tartaglia asked sweetly and Zhongli couldn't refuse. They both leaned in into a sweet and passionate kiss, one they both eagerly wanted despite words or excuses. And after they pulled away, they both stared into each other's eyes before Zhongli breathed: "Perhaps.. just one more."  and they kissed again; their tongues met and melted against the other, soft moans and pants for air began to fill the room, and after a minute, before things could get too heated, Zhongli pulled back, catching his breath and trying to get up.
