i never had the intention to live a double life.
especially not the kind i was currently doing, right now. i mean, initially, i joined the kpop industry in hopes of living my dream, but never would i have ever thought i'd end up being in a gang, too.

i don't even know how it happened to be— one second i was happily signing the contract agreement to JYP, and the next i somehow managed to find myself in an underground facility, signing off my rights to some mafia gang, too.

in all honesty, i don't even know exactly what i signed myself in to. all i do know, is once i find myself bored of the fame, i agree to do some risky job for the leader.

it also became even more interesting once yeji, my other member, decided to join, too.

well, that is until i heard she was given the bounty to kill me and cover it as a 'jealous fan attack.'

"are you sure it's true?" i asked, as i observed the face of the middle aged man who was in charge of leading young and desperate kpop idols in tasks that could ruin their lives, forever.

he nodded, "yes, ryujin, i just got word that yeji agreed to take on the role, from someone other than me, to kill you and cover it up as a crazy fan accident." he replied.

i soaked up his words, "soo— you're saying yeji wants to kill me?" i repeated slowly, not convinced it was actually true. yeji? accepting the task to kill me? no way it's true..

right?

"yes." he sighed as he rubbed his temples, "but, you are not to act any differently or show her any sort of difference in you're attitude, because the slightest change and she will notice and try to kill you as soon as she can."

i shivered at his words. i mean, i've always heard of betrayals within stuff like this, but yeji, my own yeji would try to do something like this?

"which is why," he continued as he cleared his throat, "i want you to kill her before she does. she betrayed us by going with somebody else's order and if she kills you, she'll be a threat to my entire vicinity."

i slowly nodded, as i finally realized what all was going on.

yeji willingly accepted the task to kill me.

and as a threat to my life and this vicinity, there was no time to feel sorry for myself or feel betrayed.

i had to kill her before she could kill me.
