"what do you want?" I said, as I discreetly watched her hands move around in the insides of her pockets.she cleared her throat, "so, you know about the.. group we're in, right?" she asked, hesitating on what to name the gang we were in.
I nodded.
"well," she continued, "I heard from one of my friends, in a different group, that one of their people are planning on trying to kill you and cover it up as a fan attack."
I gulped. i was expecting her to talk to me about something familiar, per say, but was she just trying to cover herself up? by telling me about it herself so id least expect it from her?
why would she tell me, anyways?
"how can I believe you?" I suspiciously asked.
she sighed, "I have no proof to show you, but because I care about you and want you to be safe, I'm telling you so you can be especially careful. don't trust anybody anymore. not even me."
"I know, yeji." I simply stated, hopefully giving her more than one way to interpret it. I know, as in I know to be careful, or I know, as in not to trust her.
before I could walk out the door she grabbed my wrist, "no you don't know. at your next meeting, they are planning to kill you." she said. "you cant go." she pleaded, as she gently shook me.
i looked at her and immediately, tensed up at the seriousness in her eyes and voice. she seriously doesn't want me to go, at all. she even looks like— she's scared for me?
unless she's trying to make me stay here because they want to kill me in my own home than at the meet up.
"why should i believe you yeji? you're just a newbie." i asked, shaking her off of me, trying my best to not fall for her words.
she gulped, "because i'm the one who has to kill you."
