"Where am I...?"
Those were the words that sputtered out of my mouth as I looked around. I was in some sort of apartment room, and not one I've seen before, either. The wallpaper was some sort of neon red, and the carpet was as blue as the ocean, and all around me were photos of planes, the sky, and different backpacks and parachutes.
"What am I doing here?" I mumbled to myself. My memory is almost blank. I know who I am, I just don't know why I'm here. "That's right. You should remember." I keep mumbling. "You're (Y/C), the ultimate (character's ultimate), and recently applied to Ikiruyume Academy." I mumble to myself, hoping that something would come back to me. I keep looking around, trying to grasp the room around me. What caught my eye, however, was a gold-coloured sign that said 'Ikiruyume'. This must be Ikiruyume, I thought. Then everything starts to make a tad more sense, and memories start flooding back. I remember walking up to the iron gates of the academy, praying that this schools 'guaranteed success' was not just some nonsense to get more students and money, that it was true, and nothing else. But if so, then what happened to the time I walked in here? Did I just go to a dorm room and pass out?
I walk around the room some more. Aside from a closet containing some standard uniforms and skydiving outfits, it was nothing out of the ordinary. The shelves were lined with different types of books, from science textbooks to fiction novels. The drawers, however, held three items: a pamphlet, a key, and some sort of digital pad, with the academy's logo printed on the back. I picked up the pamphlet, hoping to find answers within. It read:
Hello! Welcome to your new life here at Ikiruyume Academy! Here, we provide an academic experience like no other. You may remember that you have an Ultimate Talent, which is why you're here! Here, we take that talent by the hook and reform it into something great, and then throw it back in. It's the same talent, but better! We have also provided you with a dorm key and a device we like to call the 'Student Notepad'. Here, you can view the school rules, message other students and take notes, but this won't be activated until after the briefing. The main briefing of your new school life begins at noon. In the meantime, why don't you go around and introduce yourselves to the other 15 students in your class?
