(old poem)

My generation is slowly drowning

You say work harder.

Deep love for one who ruined me,

she says get over it.

Stab wounds all over ache, searing agony through my soul.

You say you're sorry I feel that way.

My feelings and thoughts a tangled mass in my heart I can't express -

expectations weighing down on me,

disappointed expressions killing me.

Silently smiling through the blood,

I know they all have it worse.
