You're Just a Dream

Last night I dreamt of you.

We walked along side the ocean,

under a blanket of purple and blue.

The stars shined in the sky,

But they also shined in your eyes,

And we walked hand in hand,

Leaving 2 pairs of footprints in the sand.

You looked over and smiled at me,

And I'd return the favor, blushing slightly.

The water kissed the lips of the shore line,

Just as you kissed mine,

And then you were gone.

As the light in my bedroom came on,

It reminded me of the sad reality,

Where you didn't think of me.

We were friends and nothing more,

And i didn't mind because you were

someone worth waiting for.
