Y/N's Pov
"Hey Y/n!?" Scott yells down the hall as I leave Rogue and Logan to get settled in their new rooms. "What's up?" I ask as he starts to jog over to me. He slows just before me and tries to catch his breath. "Did you hear what happened with Jean?" He asked angrily, looking over his shoulder at where Logan and Rogue are talking in hushed voices. I looked confused at him and ask, "What happened? I've been dealing with Logan and Rogue." "Who the hell is Logan?" He asks, his anger deflating a little. I point over to the two and the anger is back in Scott's eyes. "He almost killed Jean!" He whisper/shouts.
I roll my eyes and start to walk away. "But she's ok?" I ask, trying to sound concerned but not really. Scott quickly walks beside me and says, "Yeah but still!" I sign and lean against the railing. "He woke up in a strange place Scott. Of course, he would react that way. It's a good thing that he didn't kill her," I explain, looking over at Logan and Rogue going into their rooms. "He signs and leans against the railing with you.
"Why is he next to your room?" He asks, looking back at me. I shrug and start to pick at my nails nervously. "Y/n? What's going on?" He asks, moving off the railing and in front of me, grabbing onto my hands. I sign and try to shake his hands off of me. "Nothing, just thinking of the past." "But what does anything we are going through right now have to do with your past?" He asks, smoothing his thumbs over my hands. "I've lived a long life Scott, sometimes things just randomly come back to me," I lie, looking down at our hands.
Some of the friendships that I have made during my time at the mansion can be seen as a little weird. I'd been here since Charles was a child. I've watched everyone in the building grow up into what they have now become. I've watched them through heartache and their successes. But watching them all this time meant that I felt a little different and will always be older than them all, even when we look the same age.
"Scott?" Jean whispers as she walks up the stairs, looking angry and upset at the two of us. Scott jumps back and quickly walks over to her. "You ok? I was just telling Y/n about what Logan had done." Scott explains, putting his hands on her face. Jean nods but stares daggers at me when Scott pulls her in for a hug. It was something she had always hated. Scott and I were close as I were good friends with his older brother Alex, but she was always jealous of that closeness. Even after I'd told her my heart was with another, she still held that jealousy towards me.
"I'm going to bed," I tell them, pushing myself away from the railing and walking to the room next to Logans. I didn't completely lie to Scott about why Logan was next to me. There were many different reasons why I moved Logan and Rogue's rooms near mine. I wanted him close but Professor and I thought that by having him next to me, we'd know if he was going to run away with Rogue or not. We already had an advantage by knowing that Magneto had a plan that involved Rogue, but we still didn't know what he could be using her for and when this was all going to happen.
But there was still one thing that I knew about that no one else does, and I want to make sure I keep it that way. Because if they find out what is going to happen, they will try to stop it from happening. And that will just cause them all more pain if they do find out. There is nothing they can do to stop what is going to happen.
Later that night
-"Sweetheart, everything will be ok," Logan says as he starts to exit that bathroom, getting ready to go off to work. "I know but what if there's some history buff that recognises you from all the history books that you are in?" I ask from the bed, wrapping the sheets around my body. Logan chuckles at my reply and moves over to the bed. He sits down next to me and buddles me up in the blankets, pulling me onto his lap. "No one is going to know who the hell I am darling. We moved so far from our old lives that nothing here should be connected to it," He tries to convince me, but I still had the feeling that something today will go wrong. He kisses me on the forehead and pulls me into a hug.
"Logan?" I whisper the feeling I felt this morning coming back in full force. "Yeah?" He asks putting his hand on the back of my head as I sit back. "I had another vision this morning," I whisper, looking at anything but him. "What did you see," He whispers, bringing his other hand to cup my cheek, his thumb moving across it slowly. "I saw, I saw your brother," I whisper, looking up at him. My breathing gets faster as I think about everything he has threatened to do to us, everything he promised he'd do if we left. "Is that all you saw?" He asks calm, something he is never. "The house was destroyed. Every room was smashed, things everywhere. I couldn't see myself, but I did see my phone on the ground. We must have been on the phone because you were screaming into it. Yelling for me. But it was me who picked up the phone. It was Victor. He said that I'd be ok, he had me and hung up the phone." I explain, tears slipping from my eyes. I know Logan, if any of this was to really come true, he'd blame himself forever. Even if I wasn't harmed, which I most definitely was.
Logan's grip tightens as he pulls me back into his chest. "Nothing is going to happen to you Y/n. He has no way of finding us. I will never let anything happen to you." He promises, but I know that there isn't anything that he can do. "Logan," I try but he shakes his head, pulling me closer. "I promised you in our vows that I won't let anyone else hurt you again, and I mean it. I don't care if you had a dream about it, I won't let it come true. My brother will not get his hands on you. Not as long as I'm still around."-
I wake with a start, sitting up in a cold flash. "Ahh, I thought these dreams were over," I whisper to myself, trying to get my breathing under control again. I hear a soft knock at my door and Scott walks in. I sit up straighter and wipe the sweat from my forehead. "What is it?" I ask him, trying to sound as normal as I can. He looks me over before asking, "Are you ok? I heard lots of noises like you were in distress." I nod and look in front of me, trying to not think about the dream at all. "It was nothing, you can go back to bed," I try to dismiss, but Scott never really listened to me when it came to things like this.
He closes the door and moves to sit down next to me. "What dream did you have this time?" He asks, smoothing a hand down my arm. I sign and pull my legs up so I'm in a ball. After a lonely drunken night, I spilled all of my secrets to Scott while he tried to take me to bed. And like all things, he never let me forget about it. "When I first told my husband about his brother," I whisper into my knees. He nods and pulls me against his side. I never told him Logan's real name, knew that he would somehow meet my newfound family. "Did you..." Scott begins to ask but I hear a male voice quietly yell, "Help me!" It is so faint that I stop Scott from speaking, listening in more closely. "SOMEBODY HELP!" Logan yells even louder, shaking my wall. I jump out of bed and run to Logan's room. Already knowing what I am going to see and wishing that it hadn't come true.
