Are we just friends?

T- the truth

"W-what?" I lean against the wall. It felt as if a ton of bricks had landed on me.
"I'm Bisexual." Says Kyoya in a calm manner, his chest is rising and falling quickly, I think he's a bit panicked on how I would react.
"And I'm a lesbian." Says Kioyoko. She seems nervous, she starts playing with her hair and fidgeting with her blazer. I'm shocked. Two upperclassmen just came out to me, they're so brave and cool! I wish I could do that. Wait- I'm not queer am I? Or maybe I am? I don't really know how to respond so I just hug them both.

"I only just met you two today, thanks for trusting me." I say, I feel like crying, they came out to me they trust me. I quickly hug them both wrapping my arms around them tightly, hopefully I'm not hurting them.
"I guess that's a good reaction." Kyoya murmurs, he rests his chin onto of my head, he really is tall.
"Of course it's a good reaction dumbass, she isn't homophobic." Kioyoko points out, I feel so safe around them, I'm not sure about myself to be honest. I might be lesbian. But then I might be straight? I could even be maybe I'm attracted to both.

"What does Bi mean?" I blurt out. Oh shit, I sound so dumb. I start fidgeting with Kioyoko's buttons, we're still hugging but I guess I sort of just let them hug me instead of me hugging them.

"When a person loves multiple genders and has a preference," Kyoya says.
"Do you think you're bisexual Teruhashi?" Kioyoko says,
"No! I'm not bi! I'm straight! Like this ruler!" I pull out my ruler out of my pocket and to my dismay it's bent. Kyoya bursts out laughing. Kyoya is laughing? Has the world turned upside down? I look over at Kioyoko and she's trying not to laugh-
"ITS NOT FUNNY!" I try to storm off but Kyoya wraps his arms around me
"Hey hey- it's okay if you're straight or if you're not sure, we're your friends now you can trust us." My heart warms at me hearing that we're friends.

"You look as if you're going to explode Teru." Kioyoko says laughing while picking up my dropped beanie.
"Come sit with us at lunch? We'll be by the Sakura trees far left of the outside seating, you know the place right?" Kyoya says, giving me a little headpat.
"I know the place, can my friends come too?" I say, I don't want to leave out Yuki and Hana.
"Depends if they're alright, we don't wanna be around homophobes." Kioyoko says.
"They're not homophobic! They're really nice, I'll bring them over at lunch!" I say, I'm really excited. I get to sit with my new friends!

"Let's get to mentor before we get found out again." Kyoya says.
"Okayyyyyy see you at lunch!" I run off towards the main back entrance, school bag clutched to my chest, face red with joy and my feet running at no rhythm at all. I suddenly trip- I get back up and I just walk to class.
"HOPE YOURE OKAY TERUUUU!" Shouts Kioyoko, I see her wave me off as I'm on the first floor, I make my way to 2B and open the door. Everyone has their eyes on me, I go to sit down when the teacher calls me to come out of class.

"Why were you so late to mentor Teruhashi? You missed reading and you love reading!" My mentor, Mr Ueta says. He's my maths teacher too. He's tall like Kioyoko, he actually looks a lot like Kioyoko, similar face shape and way of speaking he's quite young too maybe 25?
"Sorry sir I wasn't feeling great on the way to school so I went to the nurses office." I say lying through my teeth, ugh I feel so bad! I love Mr Ueta NOT LIKE THAT!!! but he's a great teacher.
"Well I hope you feel better Teruhashi." He takes me back into class and starts to play school messages, I can't wait for lunch.
