Noelle dammit. Noelle, Amber, and Eula, right?
There was a house in Mondstadt that housed a great Astrologer. This Astrologer could read destinies of many using astrology. However, as great as this Astrologer is, there was one thing that bothered her...
"Why am I still broke!?" Mona asked herself, looking in her small purse. There was two mora in it.
"I swear I just discovered a ton last night! This rent is insane!" She complained to herself. It wasn't insane. The rent was actually a steal compared to others. However, she doesn't have money.
"I just went out yesterday to get tons of it... I guess I should go again." Mona said before hearing her stomach growl.
"Using astrology for mora isn't sounding like a bad idea anymore... but I will not stray off the right path!" Mona exclaimed to herself. She left her house hungry...
Barbara was walking around Mondstadt. She was on her way somewhere when she saw a sign. There was a cardboard sign with a box next to it.
Poor. Please help a poor astrologer in need
"Oh... I didn't know poor people were in Mondstadt..." Barbara said to herself. She saw the woman sitting there, fiddling with the ground. Barbara walked over.
"Do you need any help?" She asked. Mona looked up from the ground at Barbara.
"Want to get some food?" She asked with a smile. Mona was blinded by the smile, but nodded.
"Y-Yes! Thank you! I'll repay you however you like... at some point!" Mona replied. Barbara shook her head.
"Don't worry, it's on me!" She smiled again. Mona was amazed by her...
The two made it to Good Hunter where one of Barbara's friends sat. She waved over as the woman sighed with a wave back. She was Rosaria.
"Hi! I brought a friend here!" Barbara greeted. Rosaria jumped a bit, seeing Mona. This was supposed to just be the two of them originally, the plans being made by Barbara and Rosaria accepting. Mona smiled awkwardly.
"H-Hi." She said, giving a small wave. Rosaria scowled a bit, but hit herself.
"You're a sister, AND you're in front of Barbara. Behave." Rosaria demanded at herself in her head. She gave a forced smile.
"H-Hi!" She greeted. Mona was a little scared. The two sat down, now with all three sitting at a table in silence. Barbara was the first to speak, however.
"So! What does everyone have planned for Christmas?" She asked. Nobody said anything for a second. Rosaria didn't feel like talking about Christmas, and Mona didn't have anything planned. She was poor after all.
"Mona! What are you planning?" Barbara asked, forcing the conversation to be more than one sided.
"M-Me!? W-Well... I don't have much planned." She said. Barbara nodded.
"I saw you didn't have much money, is that correct?" She asked. Mona jumped a bit.
"Yes! But try not saying that out loud." She replied. Barbara place a hand hand out mouth.
"Sorry! I didn't know!" She exclaimed. Mod a sighed.
"I-It's fine... anyway, I don't really have any gifts for people..." She explained. Barbara thought for a moment.
"Well, you could always find something nice! It didn't have to be expensive or have to cost at all! Whatever would work! I can even help out a bit!" Barbara smiled. Mona clenched her heart.
"Too perfect!" She thought to herself.
"What about you Rosaria? Any plans?" Barbara asked Rosaria. Rosaria sighed.
"I guess a few. Nothing out of the ordinary. Gifts, a meet up, and that's all really." She said. Barbara nodded.
"Well, that sounds great! I'm sure it'll be amazing!" Barbara smiled. Rosaria turned a bit red, averting her eyes away.
"Y-Yeah." She said. Then it was silent.
"Anyway! I'm gonna sing carols a few times! I'm sure everyone would enjoy them! I hope you two come to hear some! Rosaria, you could even sing some with me!" Barbara smiled. Rosaria nodded a bit, still looking away. After that, they enjoyed a meal Sara brought for them. As Barbara payed for it, Mona stood up.
"Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you—" She was saying hundreds of times over, bowing to her.
"Oh please, it's the least I could do." She smiled. From there, Mona went back to her house. Barbara and Rosaria went to the cathedral. Rosaria's cold personality could always be warmed by Barbara's smile. Even Mona was effected in a good way. She was now full of food AND inspiration to do something for Christmas. During the most festive time of the year, Barbara became a machine of pure joy and smiles. This was the Idol of Mondstadt, after all...
