Silver & Bane

CHAPTER 10

Conner's POV

For the last few months I have kept an eye on Anzia, just to see if she is doing okay. Not just in her training, but also every other aspect in her life. We all tried to make her happy and to be there for her, to get her to open up, but we just couldn't. it was like she was pushing us away from that part. We couldn't mind link her, and we couldn't see in her memories. Her dad said it was because she is still struggling to talk to her wolf after the silver has blacked her for so long. But something is missing, she has changed so much from the happy little gremlin she used to be.

We all tried to do fun things with her, to help her feel, normal I guess, but she would just decline our offers and train. We decided to take the fun to her and that maybe she would liven up a little. She was out with Liam and her Dad once and we turned her whole TV room into a fort, like she did when we were kids. We put on a movie and even got snacks ready. When she came home she was clearly not happy about the fact that we messed up her house, but she joined us, after we promised her we would clean it all up in the morning.

But that wasn't the only time. When ever one of us, or even her dad would try to do something for her, she would get upset. Not in a over dramatic way, more like a frown and angry look before she puts on a smile and then does what we planned. Its strange for us because we grew up with her being this joyful, happy, witty little girl, who no matter what you throw her way, she would get up and show the whole world that she is stronger then what they throw at her. Now she is like a programmed robot. Everything is the same with her every day, she goes for a run, then she has weapons training, then combat, then she disappears of to her house. We never know what she does because she locks her door. At night she has stealth training with her dad and Liam, and then we all eat dinner with her, or try and do something fun for her.

Today the Alphas circle is meeting to discuss the full moon. Usually all the important events are held on a full moon, because then were all at our strongest. At first we were debating weather or not Anzia should be included or not. She was technically still an ETA and would only be allowed to join these meetings, when she is the Zeta, but a big part of this meeting is about her so we decided to handle her situation last, giving us time to sort out the rest of the meetings agenda before she would arrive.

She arrived at around 15:30, and we let her in, placing her in the chair in the middle of the room. The elders were quit and was sitting back to let Liam handle the situation. "Anzia, welcome. We have called you here for a number of reasons. The first one being the full moon that is coming up the the next 2 weeks. We have discussed this at lengthy and have decided that we would crown you as the new Zeta." he told her with a big smile on his face. We weren't expecting her to jump through the roof with excitement, but we weren't expecting her face to go pale ether. It was almost as if she didn't want to become Zeta. And one of the elders asked her if she wanted the position or not, because when we were told that we were being promoted, we were at least happy about it, she looked sad, and scared? She nodded at them. "yes I do want the position, but I haven't spoken to my wolf yet and I'm scared that, she will still be quit when I have to shift for the ritual." the elders nod in understanding. "we understand child, your situation is very difficult, but we have discussed this at length, not just with the circle, but also with the Priests, they have assured us that you are ready and that your wolf is to. They said, we should tell you that its time for the next part, and that you would know what that meant." she gave them a nod then looked at Liam. "I guess I'm ready for the ceremony then." she gave us a smile and he then nodded at Andy. We all sighed and prepared ourselves for the next part.

Andy stood up and walked to Anzia standing in front of her. "we wanted to do this without pulling you in, but we need answers, that were not getting from him." she looked at him confused and then at the rest of us. Her dad stood up, as he was still occupying the Zetas seat. "we have been trying to understand, what happened between you and the Healer Eddy, that made you freak out so bad." her face went white again and this time she started to breath heavy. She was having a panic attack. What ever this man did to her must have been bad. This is the most reaction we have gotten from her in months and it is not a very good reaction. Andy looked a little worried. "Liam I thing it would be best if we get your mother in here, just to support her, and maybe your father to keep Mr Black back if needed." he nod and in minutes the old Alpha and Luna was standing beside Anzia. Andy went to stand behind his seat as we ale we doing at this point. Anzia was like a little sister to all of us and we were in protective brother mode, ready to fight and protect her when needed. Liam ordered the guard to bring in the prisoner. It was dead quit in the hall and then the doors burst open with the guards dragging in a screaming Eddy. He was around our parents age and he was a good man. He wasn't born in the Black Moon pact but he transferred here a 2 years after Anzia went missing. We discussed the situation at length. He could have been the one who kept her alive, and healthy while she was in captivity, or was he one of the men who abused her? We interrogated him and tortured him, but all he kept saying is it wasn't him. We can't sentence him without a trial, and we decided to just get it over with and out of the way.
