❝ i wanna hold the hand inside you ❞

New Year's Eve arrived and you were unpacking the car, the trunk of which had been liberally filled with drinks bought from the store nearby. You were pretty certain that your group had almost cleared out their entire stock. Glass bottles clinking together as you did, you lugged the heavy bags down the driveway. This would be more than enough for eight of you.
The front door opened and a familiar figure stepped out from the warm glow of Sasha's cabin. Jean.
"A little help here kind sir?" you asked him, holding up the three full-to-the-brim bags you were trying to carry.
Upon noticing them, he quickly jogged over to you and lifted the weight of two of them out of your hands. He seemed to lift them up with such ease. Was he ripped? Or were your arms just tired? That or he was ripped - like abs and everything. Mmm, Jean abs...
You forced yourself to snap out of it.
"Thanks," you smiled at him.
"Anytime."
As you got to the door, you felt a buzzing in the pocket of your coat. You looked down to see the number on your screen - it was Pieck's firm. Eyes widening, you dumped the third bag on the ground.
"I really gotta take this," you apologised before running off to your bedroom.
Once you had shut your door, you accepted the call.
"Good evening, y/n l/n speaking."
"Good evening Miss l/n. Sorry to be calling you on New Year's Eve - but we just got word through from our headhunters, and this will only take a minute." It was another woman, no older than about sixty, but no younger than forty.
"No, no, don't worry! Of course, of course!" Internally, your stomach was doing backflips.
"Well, I do have good news. We think you are the perfect fit for the role."
Your face immediately illuminated. Finally, this shitty year had ended with something good. Now, you had Jean, you had this new job, and everything was starting to turn around for the better.
"That's amazing news!" you gushed.
"Yes, yes. You will start soon after you finish the big move over - which we can arrange for you..." the woman on the other side of the phone spoke, her voice calculating.
