i don't remember much of what happened

it was a blur

i opened my eyes

my throat felt dry

i looked around, my eyes blurry.

i let my eyes focus

i saw skylar

was i dreaming?

"skylar?"

my voice was groggy

her eyes were closed

but as soon as i called her name

she was at my side

"hey babe, how are you feeling?" she asked

"water" i croaked out.

she quickly grabbed a water bottle from a counter

she opened it and handed it to me

i gulped it down, then licked my lips

i sat up, and skylar helped me.

"sit beside me for a second?" i asked

she slowly sat at the edge of the bed,

right beside me. inches away

i ignored the cast on my arm

"can i sign your cast?" skylar asked jokingly

"can i do this?" i asked

"do what..?"

"this."

and with that I crashed my lips on hers.
