Edit: *Just letting you know there is a spoiler* If you have read all of the books/ seen the movies you're good.

You had woken up from one of your nightmares. you've been having them almost every night, and they were beginning to take Its toll on you. You stumbled out of bed and began to make your way down to the kitchens to fetch yourself some tea and a snack. You were sure the house elves would be expecting you because you've been going there every night for the past two weeks.

Your dreams. They just felt so real. At first you just kept dreaming of the dark lord, but now It's just a repeating scene of Snape in the shrieking shack being attacked by Nigini. You weren't sure why you kept having these dreams, but it just made you feel like you needed to protect Snape at all costs. Like the responsibility was in your hands. All year you've been using the room of requirements to practice spells during any free time you could get. Nobody knew the level of skills that you had. You've even been practicing antidote potions and you have successfully brewed three antidotes.

-Time Skip to the battle of Hogwarts.-

You had taken out more than a dozen death eaters. Everyone around you tries to steer clear of you to let you do your thing. You haven't seen Snape anywhere, so you followed your instincts and you led yourself through the bloodshed to the shrieking shack. When you arrived you saw Voldemort and Snape. You didn't think your dreams had been right, but they were. Right when you got to the back door you saw Nigini pounce of Snape, and it took everything in you to not burst through the door and fight Voldemort yourself.

Harry and is two friends arrived right when Nigini slithered away and you watched Harry collect his tears. At this point you were sobbing. You quickly ran in with the vile and hoped you had got there in time to save Severus. You poured the anti-venom down his throat, but he wasn't moving. You started sobbing out loud into his chest just laying there. It felt like hours had past until you felt an arm grab your side. You quickly looked up to stare into the eyes of Severus Snape ALIVE. He was groggy, and you did some healing spells to close off his wounds.

"Are you okay? I thought I didn't make it to you in time." Your eyes were searching him to make sure he didn't have anymore wounds, and you couldn't find any. The dark mark on his arm has vanished, and you knew that Harry had won the battle. You sighed a breath of relief. Snape was looking at you clearly reading your mind to see what had happened and you let him. You even let him see all the training you had done during the year, and the first thing he said to you was. "All this just to save the old dungeon bat?" You started giggling. It wasn't a surprise to hear him say those words. You just placed a kiss onto his cheek and hugged him. A real hug he hasn't had for years, and he hugged back with weak arms.

"Lets get you home so I can keep an eye in your wounds." You apparated to your home and laid him down on the couch while you summoned tea and soup.

*Another time skip*

It had been two months and Severus has been completely healed with full recovery. Other than his nightmares, you could visibly see the stress leave his body within his healing days. But you're sure that he has way more stress and reasons to have it than you think. You had seen his house and you know you weren't going to let him go back there. He seemed glad that you had offered him a bedroom in your own home. You had all of the house to yourself because your father had passed from what you knew, and your mother is away for work. Your mother was away basically everyday since you turned nineteen.

Since the battle of Hogwarts summer break has ended and during the break the school was reconstructed like nothing had ever been touched. It still amazes you to this day that magic can do such amazing things.

When it was two weeks away until the next term you had received a letter from Hogwarts asking if you'd like to pursue a teaching position. The battle of Hogwarts was tragic, and a lot of the parents were asking for a security staff to be formed as a precaution. Minerva McGonagall was convinced that you and a few others would be perfect for the job. Seeing how you single handedly took down so may death eaters she thought you would be the perfect match for the job. You'd be in charge of walking the halls in the morning, and a few hours of the evening.
