The next morning I woke very relaxed and energized. My eyes fluttered open and realized what was happening.

My head was laying on Noah's chest and his arms were rapped around me. I could feel his hand slowly rubbing up and down my back, it was nice.

I slowly lifted my head up and noticed that he was already up. "S-sorry." I mumbled and removed myself from him.

"I-It was fine." he said.

I nod and look away, feeling the awkward tension in the air. He then hops out of the bed and starts putting his shoes on.

"Where are you going?"

"I gotta go home, to go get ready for the Carnival." he says. "But I'll be back at 1:00 to pick up you, William and Louis."

"Oh okay, wait you can drive?"

"Yup! Can you?"

"No.. I'm not allowed to get my license yet."

"But your 16."

"Yeah, I know, that's what I said. But my mom and dad still said no."

"Ohhh.. well if you want maybe I can secretly teach you." he smirks.

"Oh my god Noah." I laugh kind of excited. "Are you serious?" he nods. "Okay.. we'll see."

"Okay." he smiles. "I also added you to the Stranger Things group chat that we made yesterday."

"Oh okay... By the way, how did you get on my balcony?" I laugh

He smiles. "Y/n.. there's an escape ladder ya know."

I place my hand on my forehead, shaking my head in embarrassment. "Of course there is." He opens the balcony door and I could automatically feel the cold air come in. "Are you sure you can climb back down?"

"Yeah.. I think so."

"Can you please just take the stairs. It be a lot safer and make me feel better." I laugh.

"But won't your mom see.."

I look at my watch and look back up at him. "Well it's 9 o'clock. She should still be sleeping."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes..." I say in an unconfident voice.

"Okay, fine."

I then got out of bed, put my slippers on and handed him his phone. The two of us quietly exit the room and the coast was clear. We then quickly and quietly go down the hallway and to the stairs.

"Shit!" I whisper

"What? What is it?" he whispers back.

"My mom's on the couch!"

"What are we going to do... I thought you said she was still sleeping."

"Yeah, I thought so too. If she's up at this time she usually just stays in her room."

"Don't worry it's fine. But how can I leave without her noticing?"

"Oh I know! We can go through the back staircase in the kitchen.. but we still have to pass her from behind which is so much easier though. I can open the door, you can run out and I can act like I'm checking for a package!"

"Perfect!"

"Okay, let's go." I grab his hand and we sneak down the kitchen staircase together. We ran through the kitchen archway and we're almost at the door.

"Good morning, Y/n and Noah." My mom said with her back to us.

Me and Noah completely froze and gave each other a confused look. How did she know we were there? (Especially Noah, out of all people.)
