My name is Skylar Sonar. I am 15 years old and I have really big dreams. My parents tell me that the sky is the limit , but they never believed in me. Ever since I was younger I loved to act and sing. I've always loved to perform and make people happy. The problem is that no one thinks I can achieve my life goals.
My first day at my new high school is today. I recently moved from Pennsylvania to California. My parents know how much I want to be noticed, so their first move to help me was bringing me to Hollywood. ( Since they have no faith in me.)
This new life is going to need a little bit of getting used to. I am going to try to make new friends and people are going to have to like the real me. I'm only a girl who just moved to a whole new world.
I walked into school holding my phone. I was looking at a map of the school to help me get around. Then, all of a sudden , someone bumped into me. It was a girl my age.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to."
"It's ok. It was my fault. I'm the one looking at my phone."
"I'm Renee. It's nice to meet you."
"I'm Skylar. I just moved here from Philadelphia a few days ago."
"Welcome then," she giggled, "I'll see you around."
"Ok, bye!"
So far everything is going fine. I was worried something would go wrong. The bell rang. I was off to my first class.
My first class was math. It went by fast. I went to my second class which was science and I saw Renee there. Luckily, she sat next to me. I had a friend to talk to. She told me about the school and the kids that attend it. It was really nice to know.
We also found out that she was in my third class and I was really happy about that, too. Our third class was choir. That is where I'll be practicing my singing. Renee is into singing like I am, so we were both really excited.
Renee wasn't the only one there that I knew though.
