Chapter 3: Big Surprises

Spencer started walking towards me. I was terrified. I didn't know what to say or do. Hopefully he wouldn't say anything about our old relationship.

"Hi Skylar"

"Hi Spencer. What are you doing here?"

"I came to help my uncle look for some good singers and I know you flew out here to work on your career, so maybe I can convince him into signing you."

"Why would you do that?"

"I know your a good singer and that you have a nice chance for fame. The least I could do is help you out after what I put you through."

"I still don't understand."

After everyone got settled down, Mrs. Walford started speaking. The producers sat down to just watch and listen today.

"We are going to just practice singing a few songs today. Tomorrow we will learn each other's names and I will teach you about the basics of music. Today I have a special guest for you all. Most of you probably know her. Come on out and introduce yourself."

Ariana walked up onto the stage.

"Hi, I'm Ariana Grande for those who don't know me. I am a singer and actress. Today I want to listen and help the great voices that you all have."

Mrs. Walford told us to get in a group of 3-5 people. Renee, Anna, and I were in a group. She said to pick a song that you could sing together and that we would perform them to the others. There were 6 groups and after every performance Ariana would take a minute to give them her opinion and advice about their voice. My group was last and I was kind of nervous about what Ariana would say because she is my idol.

My group was the only one to perform one of Ariana's song and that was "Problem". She was shocked and had a lot of really nice things to say. Most importantly she said she was in love with my voice. She loved Renee and Anna's, too. Ariana said that we made a really nice group and that we should consider being a band. The tones in our voices really match perfectly. I took all of her advice straight into consideration.

Then after everyone performed the producers went on the stage. They said that they would offer 3 record deals tomorrow, so we could practice at home and perform again tomorrow.
