I woke up the next morning. I got dressed, brushed my hair and went straight downstairs for breakfast.

"Buenos días, mamá!"

(Good morning)

My mom was doing the laundry.

"Buenos días!" She replied.

I grabbed a slice of bread, remembering what happened yesterday.

"Mamá, have you seen grandpa?" I asked as I took a bite of the bread.

"Sí, he's outside." She answered.

I went outside to look for him. It didn't take much time until I found him though. He was in the garden, picking flowers. He must've known I was there since he suddenly turned to look at me. He then waved with a bright smile on his lips.

"Hola, princesa!" He called out to me.

"Hola, yayo!" I gave him a soft smile.

"Can I help you with anything?" He asked me.

"Actually-" I began to speak.

"Do you know anything about the Madrigals?"

"The Madrigals?" He tilted his head.

He then smiled.

"Ah, sí. They're pretty famous around here."

"So the boy wasn't lying after all..." I mumbled.

"What was that?" My abuelo asked.

"Ah, nothing." I replied with a smile.

I turned my head and looked at the sea. The sunlight made it look like melted diamonds.

"What about them?"

"What?" I turned my head to look at grandpa again.

"The Madrigals, what about them?" He asked me again.

"I met a boy yesterday when I was exploring the village-" I began.

"He said his name was Camilo or something and that he was a part of the Madrigal family." I continued.

"Camilo, huh?"

"Yeah."

"He sure is a nice young man." Grandpa said.

"I'd say he's more annoying than nice." I thought to myself.

"They live just around the corner." He continued.

"They do?" I asked him.

"Sí." He began.

"Their house is magical."

"It is?" I tilted my head.

Then suddenly, Liliana ran out of the house. She was wearing a blue sundress with a white ribbon tied around her waist.

"Angie, mom told me to tell you that you have to take me to the village. Apparently there's a huge playground there and I wanna check it out." She called out to me.

"Why should I?" I turned the other way.

She gasped.

"I'm telling mom!" She yelled.

I sighed.

"Ugh, okay, fine. Let's go."

...

We arrived at the playground.
