A/N;

This chapter is kinda boring, you can skip it if you want. ^^

I looked at myself in the mirror.

Jeez, I looked like a zombie...

I hadn't gotten much sleep, so I was really tired. I couldn't stop thinking about yesterday for some reason. Today I was wearing a black skirt and an oversized t-shirt. Those were some of the clothes that I bought the day after we arrived. The same day as I met Cami.

I shook my head.

What was I thinking?

I made my way down the stairs. I saw my mother standing in the kitchen. It looked like she was cooking something.

"Hola, mamá!"

"Buenos días, princesa." She turned around and smiled at me.

"What are you doing?" I asked her curiously.

"I'm making tonight's dinner." She replied.

"This early? Why?" I tilted my head.

"I'm making a special dish that has to sit for a few hours before it's ready."

"Okay-" I grabbed a slice of bread and ate it.

"Oh no!" My mom exclaimed.

"What's wrong?" I looked at her as I raised an eyebrow.

"We're out of milk." She replied.

"I can go and buy some if you want." I offered.

"That would be great, thanks!" She smiled and handed me some money.

I grabbed my sandals and headed outside. The ground was still a little bit wet from yesterday's tempest, but the sun was shining and the air felt warm.

Yk what? I'm not even gonna say anything abt those huge a$$ stairs.

...

The streets were pretty empty. I kinda wondered where all the people were, but then I realized that they had probably gone to the beach or something since it was Saturday. I went inside the grocery store and bought the milk. When I was about to head home, I accidentally bumped into someone. They dropped their bags and fell to the ground.

"Dios mío, are you alright!?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

It was a girl. She looked really familiar though. She had short curly hair, round, green glasses and blue earrings.

"Hey, you're the girl Camilo danced with yesterday, aren't you?" She asked as her eyes widened a bit.

"Angelina was it, right?"

I nodded.

"Yeah, and you are?"

She laughed.

"We've actually met once before when you and your sister stayed for dinner. My name's Mirabel, and I'm Camilo's cousin."

I was dying from embarrassment. How on earth did I not remember?

"Mirabel, of course!" I laughed awkwardly.

She gave me a warm smile. She then bent down to pick up her bags.

"Hey, let me help you with that." I said.

"Muchas gracias!" She thanked me.

We talked for a while. Apparently, she was the same age as me and Camilo. She said she was the only family member without a gift.

"That must be sad." I looked at her.

"Nah, I'm really proud of being a Madrigal." She laughed.

"I'm sorry but I really have to go now." I said.

"Alright, see you around!" She waved at me.

I hurried back home where mom was waiting for me in the kitchen.

"What took you so long?" She asked.

"Nothing, I made a new friend, that's all." I replied.

She smiled and I handed her the milk.

A/N;

Yes, this chapter is the shortest one yet. I will upload a longer chapter tomorrow though, I promise.
