"We've talked about this before, Greenie. You're just not cool enough to leave The King, which is me!" The Dane smiled, a charming yet childish feature.

I scowled. "Why not? I'm much more powerful than you. If I wanted to, I could rebel anytime I wanted!"
We were sitting at the table with the rest of the Nordic five. I came around them a lot hoping to eventually become one of them, but right now I was just a territory of Denmark, a wannabe country that no one cared about.
"She has a point, Den." Finland reasoned. "She is pretty powerful."
Denmark laughed, taking another gulp of his beer. "But Greenie is too sweet to rebel against me. She would never want to start a war."
Norway hit him on the arm. "Don't be rude," he said quietly.
"Ow!" Denmark rubbed his arm and laughed more, staring at me excitedly. "Nope, sorry Green. I'm not in the mood for it." he stopped a waitress walking by and bothered her for more beer. I got tired of it and eventually walked away, not having eaten or drunk anything anyway. I went on my way home.
Walking to the bus stop in the pouring rain added to my stress. I had left my umbrella at the restaurant, but I wasn't going back there, not while Denmark was still drinking all his reasoning away.
I strode through the crowd of people, a few of them other nations going by human names. Occasionally people would smile at me or wave, like I was of importance. I came to the bench on the rode and sat down. A man with reddish hair sat down beside me, lighting a cigarette.
He looked at me and raised his eyebrows. "Vanya?" I stared at him. "Who are you?" I asked.
"You're Vanya, right?" He asked, certainty in his voice.
"Um, yes. That's me. May I ask whom you are?"
He leaned in closer to me. "Mathias talks a lot about you in the Meetings, if you now what I mean." He whispered.
My eyes widened. "He- really?"
He smiled, puffing on his cigarette. "Mhm, and I can see why. You are prettier than he described you to be." He took my braid into his hand.
I pulled away, blushing. A bus pulled up, and the man stood. "This is where I get up. Would you like to accompany me?"
I shook my head, and he sighed."You really are pretty, you know." he got up and entered the bus. I realized that was the bus I needed to catch just seconds after it pulled away.
I sighed, and stood up to walk home.
"Damn Nordics and their stupid drinking and-" I bumped into some one, knocking him over. "I'm so sorry are you okay I didn't mean to-"
"You really are sweet, Den is right." Said Norway. He had bumped into me and dropped two umbrellas. he picked them up and handed one to me. "I saw that you forgot this."
"Oh, thanks." You took it and smiled at him. "I appreciate it!"
He walked away, muttering something to you. You turned. "Wait! I didn't hear that. What did you say?" You yelled.
He glanced over his shoulder. "don't let him act like he owns you." He turned back and left.
You stood there shocked. Soon enough, though, you opened your umbrella and turned, deciding to walk home.
