I planned on going and apologizing to him. I was going to take full responsibility for my stupid actions. I was going to. Until I saw him with another girl making out behind a wall. I rushed up to him and I felt the tears streaming down my face."I just wanted to say I'm sorry. And that I want you back. But clearly you've moved on and that's great you have found someone better than me." I said, swiping at the tears. I turned, not giving him a chance to reply, and ran across the parking lot. I ran until I collapsed on the front steps of my house. I was sobbing and I cursed myself for being so stupid. How could he ever want me? I'm nothing! I'm nothing..I'm...nothing. I slowly calmed down and went inside to my room. I collapsed on the bed and fell asleep. I woke to the sound of my stepmother yelling up the stairs. "ELLE! GET UP! GET UP RIGHT NOW!" She screamed. I groaned inwardly and went down the stairs. The school sent cops to my house. I'd run off campus earlier and they called the police. "We were sent here by the school, to make sure a Elle Relinda was alright." The officer said. "Yea. I'm fine." I said. The officer left with a tip of his hat. My stepmother closed the door and looked at me with a terrifying glare. "How dare you? How dare you skip school? I put up with your nonsense on your father's wishes and this is what I get! Go! Go up to your room! I don't want to hear a peep out of you! I'll decide whether or not you eat tonight!" She yelled. She shoved me up the stairs. I closed my eyes and counted to ten. I will not snap. I will stay calm. I thought to myself as she pushed me to my room, shutting and locking the door behind me.
