You Can Do This

"Hey, you'll get this" I say, putting my hand underneath her chin, making her look at me. ~ She nods and fake smiles at me.

"I promise you will get it, ok?" "Ok" "I just want to get this over with" "I know so let's go do this" "I don't think I can" Tears start streaming down her face.

"You can and I know you can, I believe in you, ok?" "Ok" She says softly. But I smell blood out of nowhere, strong... it's human blood. Like someone was shot or bleeding out really fastly.

Mia obviously smelled it, too and her head snaps to the side as she closes her eyes and lifts her head, sniffing the air, trying to figure out where the smell is coming from.

"Mia?" I said, trying to snap her out of it. "Hey, hey, Mia... don't do it" I sternly say as her face starts to vamp out and she pants.

"Mmnn" She groans and runs off in the direction the smell was coming from. "Mia! Sh*t!" I yell. Lucky for her, nobody was around and she didn't get caught.

I chased after her for like 2 hours, well obviously I'm exaggerating but it felt like it. She had been struggling so hard not to bite them. Unfortunately, like 3 seconds before I got to her, she lost the battle and drank their blood.

"Mia, no!" I shout. "Mn!" She groans when I ran to her, knocking her off them. "No! Stop it, Mia! Control yourself, you have to control yourself!" She looks at me and then the person, a few times.

"Get... get me out of... out of here!" She pants, I grab her hand and vamp her home.

~The Boarding House~
When we get back home, I take her back inside and sit her on the couch. I take one look at her and see she's struggling. She almost killed someone, if I was her, I would be struggling too. I mean, I'm not struggling with it but I'm struggling with how she is right now.

"Mia? Hey, you ok?" "Hm?" "You ok?" I ask, concerned. "Yeah, yeah" "Mia, you didn't do anything wrong" "Damon, I almost killed someone" "But you didn't though" She starts crying.

"If you weren't there... that girl... would be... dead" "But she isn't Mia, that's what matters, right?" "Well, yeah, but-" She started. "-No, no buts"

I ran my hand through her hair and put my hand in hers. "I will always be here for you, ok?" I push her hair off her shoulders and kiss her shoulder.

She nods at my question and she gets up.
