To my understanding, first and fourth quotes are simple. But the others have a specific meaning.
The second one I believe gives a very optimistic message that all the bad things are just a game of our mind and we are bigger than those "evils". We can fight them and win over them.
The third one I believe is suggesting that it wouldn't have caused so much disappointment and pain if they wouldn't have had given us the hope.
The last one I think basically means that there is no importance of light without the dark. You wouldn't have known the importance of light without the dark.
These were my thoughts over the quotes but I'd love to know what you think the quotes signify.
