Dear Chandler Leona,
Congrats on the win! You know, you are the luckiest girl on the planet; I chose YOU to be my next victim in my little killing spree! Yay! (silent dancing). Now, I know what you're thinking, and I need you to pretty please not call the cops because it won't do you any good. But, since you are GORGEOUS, (seriously, where do you get your radiant beauty from?!) I've decided to give you a little more time, AND a hint! You've got thirteen hours.
-Your soon to be murderer,
Kai

A scream was halfway up my throat when it froze in place, and a whimpering-like sound wheezed out of my mouth. This can't be happening. Not to me, it can't. This really cannot be happening. I told myself over and over. Someone was coming for me. This wasn't a joke or a miscommunication- someone is actually going to kill me in twelve hours and fifty-eight minutes. What. The. Fuck.

"Chandler..." Roy purred seductively from the spacious room. A shiver shocked through me. He can't know about this. No one can. I ripped the morbid note into a thousand tiny pieces until it couldn't tear no more, and threw it into the trash can, covering up the pieces with toilet paper — just in case — and walked out of the bathroom. As my bare legs caught the sunlight, I stared long and hard at Roy's lean and hard six-pack as he sat up on the bed, patting his legs for me to come. I stood at the foot for a moment, leaning on the bed-post before a gentle smile tugged at the corner of my lips, and I jumped aimlessly into his open arms, letting them encircle me in a breathless cloud of warmth. "I wish we could wake up like this everyday," Roy sighed, putting his chin in the notch of my neck.

I silently smiled, trying to forget the awful thing that happened moments before, and answered, "Why don't we? Just for today, let us just...lay here." If I had only half a day to live, I would want to spend it with the boy who made me melt like butter just at the feel of his warm breath on my throat.

"Well, if you insist."

Roy didn't argue after that. He slipped his hand around my neck, brushing my collarbone ever-so-lightly with the tip of his index finger, while the other slid under my shirt, running up and down my spine delicately. It was then I couldn't take it anymore, the feel of his hands on my body, and the way electricity snapped off of me every time, and I forced him down on the bed, kissing every centimeter of his vanilla-raspberry lips. Today was going to be a day with no regrets.

I ungracefully pulled my shirt over my head, letting it fall to the floor as Roy's chocolate brown eyes traveled from my own to my chest. "Do you really want to do this?" he asked, toying with my bra strap.

"Screw what I said yesterday. I was 'under the influence' and wasn't thinking straight."

"Okay," his whispered into my ear, flipping me over, so he was hovering closely above me.

Then there was the sound. The sharp chilling sound that came from the door, making both of us jump. "Hello?" and unfamiliar voice muffled through the door.

Roy cursed under his breath as he fumbled for his shirt and I pulled the covers closer to my shoulders. The door quickly opened to the sound of Roy falling on his arse trying to leave, and on the other side was a boy who couldn't have been more than seventeen, but they way his eyes were staring imploringly at the floorboards made him seem like he had lived for hundreds of years- his eyes looked like they have been through so much.

"I'm sorry. I came in here thinking that Chandler, is it? Anyways, I thought he might be awake, and I wanted to introduce myself. But I see you have a... friend over so-"

"No, no. I was just leaving," Roy said, picking up his things and rushing to the door. He gave me a long and hard kiss, whispering that we can meet later, and then left; the door clicking behind him. The boy turned to follow, but I quickly shouted to him.

"Where are you going?"

The boy slowly turned back around, the puzzled expression on his face growing. "I was going to talk to Chandler..."

"That's me," I bluntly said.

His eyes bulged like he had a startling realization. "Oh! You're Chandler? I'm so sorry. I, oh okay then. Sorry."

"You say that a lot," I giggled as he walked over to the bed. "No! Don't came any closer!"

His face distorted into confusion again as I explained that I wasn't completely dressed and he turned around. I leaped out of bed, snatching my t-shirt from the floor and clumsily getting it over my head. "Okay, you're good."

He turned around, getting straight to the point. He explained that he was Stefan Salvatore, the younger brother, a little bit about his ancestry, that his family was a founder of Mystic Falls, and that I was very welcome to stay here anytime I liked. "Do you come back often?"

"Yes, actually.I have been here a few times but never have seen the outside of the town. I usually stay in the heart of Mystic Falls but my friend Ainsley-"

"Met my cousin Sean," Stefan finished for me. "Well, I might as well tell you now that he isn't my real cousin." Then he said quietly, "It's a lot more complicated than that."

The silence after that was overbearing. I couldn't take it anymore and I spilled everything to him. About the note, about Roy, everything. I know you shouldn't tell things to a stranger, but the weight of this one, giant secret was just enough to drive me insane. Someone had to know. As I prepared for the worst reaction, I was taken by so much surprise when he said the complete opposite.

"Actually, it's not half as crazy as you might think it sounds. I'm not exactly, how do I put this..." he started off, "I'm...I'm not human."

My mouth dropped open.

"And I really needed to tell someone too."
