2020, Mystic Falls, Virginia
( Same Day As Chapter 4 )
Are we really doing this? I mean, shouldn't we just let her walk away?
You kind of have no choice. Your family is curious and you're not exactly giving them answers.
Because I don't know!
The sound of an elevator ding brought the youngest Salvatore from his thoughts as he moved away from the wall he was once leaning on. He hurried out the door of the hotel and over to the car where his brother and Bonnie were. " She's coming out the elevator, headed this way ". Stefan stated, standing in front of the two, Damon and Bonnie nodding in understanding.
" Are we really about to kidnap a woman who is powerful enough to bring dead people back to life "? Caroline's voice rang through Bonnie's phone.
" We have no choice Care, we need answers and Stefan's not exactly giving them ". Bonnie spoke into the phone, jokingly. Even though it was a joke, Stefan still grumbled and crossed his arms. He wasn't angry at Bonnie, he was mad at himself for not knowing why the woman in blue did what she did. Or who she was for that matter.
Damon's ears suddenly perked as he pushed himself off the car. His eyes were glued to the entrance of the hotel as he could hear everything going on inside, from the woman telling the front desk worker thank you to her boots clapping against the floor as she headed towards the door. " Time to get off the phone, Bon Bon, she's coming ".
The witch looked at Damon before turning back to her phone. " I have to go, Caroline ". She said.
" Alright, be careful. Especially you Stefan ". The blonde stated, causing her husband to chuckle.
" Love you too Caroline ". Stefan said. The phone call ended, causing everyone to turn themselves to the hotel. They had to mentally prepare themselves. Especially Stefan. " You ready Stef "? Damon questioned. The youngest nodded and as he saw her walk out of the hotel, he made his way over to her.
He wondered why she just walked around staring either down or forward. We were living in the age of technology for crying out loud! She must of had some kind of phone. Maybe she did and just didn't use it too often. He mentally prepared himself for whatever was going to happen as he now stood less than a foot away from the woman with blue hair. " Hey "!
She perked her head to the right and stopped in her tracks, looking at the person before her. She chuckled, stuffing her hands into her pockets. " What can I help you with, Stefan "? She questioned.
Stefan stuffed his own hands into the pockets of the jacket he was wearing. " Well you can come with me and make things so much easier ". The words came out of his mouth in a confident tone as he stood there in a calm manner. It was the exact opposite of how he actually felt. She cocked one of her eyebrows up as Stefan's words ran through her mind.
Confident. Stupid, but confident.
" Pardon ". Her voice was one of a mother giving a second chance to her mouthy child. All of the confidence, all 1% of it left Stefan's body in an instant. He would have to think fast. Why was he the one doing this? He shook the negative thoughts away and regained control of himself. " Make this easier for all of us and get in the car ". Stefan repeated. She wanted to laugh. Was this seriously all he had planned?
" Alright, I'll budge ". She took her hands out of her pockets and placed them in a position that would make one assume she was surrendering, but she wasn't. That was obvious with the smirk plastered on her lips. She put her hands to her sides and walked past Stefan, heading towards the direction of the car. Stefan didn't move for about a second, just watching as she slowly walked away. It was that easy? He soon followed close behind her and as they got closer to the vehicle, they could see both Damon and Bonnie.
