Nightmare POV
I could deal with the Killer situation later, for now I know to think about how I'm going to keep that promise. Killer is already off the list for helping me. Who else could I choose for this? I need someone who wouldn't care to date me and then break up with me a little while after wards. Who would actually want to do that without being hurt?
Ink! That's it! Ink, even if he hides it, doesn't have any emotions at all. He'd be an easy target to go after with this sort of thing to 'keep the balance' and stuff. I could easily convince him him to go along with this plan.
I scanned through the multiverse's aura to find Dream's, he would tell me where Ink is for sure. Soon enough, I found it and teleported there. As expected, Dream wasn't that happy to see me.
"We don't want any trouble, Nightmare." Dream warned.
"I didn't come here for trouble either. I just want to know where Ink is." I asked, trying to rush this.
"What do you want with him?" Dream asked.
"It's an emergency, I'll explain to you later." I replied.
"Fine, he's at the doodle sphere, but you better not cause any trouble." Dream gave in.
"Thanks a lot, brother." I gave him an actual soft smile and teleported away, leaving him with a very confused look on his face.
Ink POV
I was floating in the doodle sphere drawing as usual when I felt an unusual presence. Before I could figure out who it was, they found me, surprisingly, it was the guardian of negativity himself too.
My head filled with questions, but I was interrupted by him shouting my name and teleporting to me.
"Ink, I need to tell you something important. It's a serious emergency." Nightmare told me.
"Yeah?" I replied, trying not to spill out all my questions.
"I made a deal with someone, and now I need your help." He began explaining.
"What was the deal? What does this have to do with me?" I blurted out.
"The deal was for me to date someone within three days. If I didn't complete this deal; my entire gang could be in danger and anyone I loved or cared about." Nightmare explained.
"Well for one, I'm not Cupid or Mr. Matchmaker here. Secondly, how do you know they're not lying to you? That seems a little brutal in my opinion, don't you think?" I was unable to stop the questions from spilling out now.
"I know you aren't, and I've seen some of the things he can do. That doesn't matter now, but I do have a bigger question for you. Ink, this is rather sudden, but will you date me?" He asked.
I stared at him in pure confusion. The guardian of negativity was not only scared of someone that I'd never even heard of, and cared for his gang like they were some kind of family to him, but wanted ME to date him? This had to be some joke, right? There was no way this could even be real at this point.
Nightmare looked at me hopefully. I couldn't think of a good reason why not anyway. Plus maybe this would cause some drama between the multiverse? It was getting rather boring anyway. I decided to accept his offer,
"Sure?" I shrugged.
I've honestly never seen Nightmare like this before. I always thought he was edgy and dark, or even secretive, yet here he is, the joyful glint in his eyelights like a child opening Christmas gifts. I honestly liked this version of Nightmare more than the normal one, so maybe this wouldn't be as bad as I first thought. I just hope he stays like this.
