"Jeffrey, you have to look after her. Make her your top priority, not this mafia business." Avery pleaded with her husband tiredly. She knew that she wouldn't live to see their baby grow up, she knew that her husband would have to look after their newborn. Jeffrey nodded, "I will, baby. I'll give her the life she deserves." He responded. Avery nodded as she lay her head on the pillow, finally at peace and able to rest; knowing that her husband wouldn't let her down. Jeffrey watched her with tear filled eyes, the heart monitors flatlined, Avery's skin was paling as the doctors rushed back into the room. Jeffrey knew she was gone.

He rose to his feet and left the room, outside he was handed a crying baby girl. "Do you have a name, sir?" The nurse asked. He cleared his throat slightly as he stared down at the baby girl who looked exactly like her mother, "Her mother and I discussed the name Paislee." He breathed. "Well, as you know, we kept Paislee in overnight, we ran tests. She is a healthy, happy baby girl weighing seven pounds and three ounces." The nurse told him. "Thank you." Jeffrey managed to crack a smile. "Congratulations, sir." Someone said from behind the nurse. Jeffrey lifted his head to see his security guards, "Thank you, Donnie." He said before glancing back at the room. Averys time of death was being announced, tears graced Jeffrey's face once again before a doctor left the room to let Jeffrey know that his wife had gone.

"Paislee, wake up!" Someone yelled. Paislee jumped awake and rolled out of bed, "Ow..." She groaned as she rubbed her knees. She pushed herself up from the floor and grabbed the first outfit she saw; a white tee and a pair of black skinny jeans with ripped knees. She pulled on a pair of leather heeled boots before dragging a brush through her hair and finally leaving her room. She made it down the stairs, "What is it, dad?" She asked Jeffrey as she rubbed her eyes tiredly. "I need you and Xavier to head out on a mission for me today." Her father told her. "What?! Xavier?! I can't stand him." She groaned. "Look Paislee, you're fourteen now. It's about time you guys got along." Jeffrey sighed. Paislee eyed him before grabbing a cereal bar from the fridge, she knew better than to go against her fathers words, "Xavier has the details." He told her. She sighed and stood up, letting Jeffrey give her a kiss on the forehead before she left their house and headed towards the main building.

She walked into the bright white building and placed her hand on the scanner, it scanned her hand and she headed into the main room whilst opening her cereal bar. "Miss Hudson, what are you doing here?" One of her fathers associates asked as he lifted his head from the iPad he was holding. "Looking for Jones, have any of you seen him?" She questioned as she glanced around at the other four men in the room. "Which one?" The man with the iPad asked. "Xavier." She groaned. "The boss put you on another mission with him?" "Yeah, I don't know why. Jones is nothing but incompetent and constantly gets in the way." She sighed. She then saw the men stiffen slightly causing her to glance over her shoulder, coming face to face with the smirking blonde boy she knew as Xavier Jones.
