Part 5

Josh Point of view

I drove, until i crossed the state line. I looked over and there was bethanni, she was so simple. She had thick thighs and these blue eyes that were anything but basic. Her smile was big and lit up the entire room. I knew who she was. She was the one my friends used to tease for being prude...
Her curly blonde hair could never stay in place, and she was beautiful.

Not beautiful like Laurie was. Laurie had wavy brown hair, and tiny thighs. Her teeth were crooked, unlike Bethanni's naturally straight teeth. I tried thinking back to a time when bethanni had braces, but i couldn't recall one.
Everyone thinks i went bad when laurie died. And truth is that had something to do with it, but what took me over the edge was i came home right after i found out what happened... And my dad was drunk, my mom was gone.
And all of the sudden my dad hit me.
i left, and i almost killed a man that night. We were at a party, and this guy... he was starting fights with everyone... I couldnt help myself. Something came over me. That person wasnt me.
I cringed, as i was brought back to reality.
i had to get out of here.
And all of the sudden i was going 90 on a 75.

Bethanni woke up. "JOSH! slow down!!"
I didnt say anything.
she yelled again, except this time it wasnt her voice, it was lauries...
"JOSH PLEASE YOU ARE SCARING ME."
I slammed the breaks. Put the car in park and started crying. For the first time since laurie died, since my mom left, since my dad hit me, and since i almost killed a man.

Then i realized, I'm on a run, with an innocent girl that doesnt deserve to be around me.
