(Now it's time to take a break from the current story and make a oneshot)
So guys, I thought of a possible story for when the copper 9's core exploded, in the show, it exploded due to "human stupidity" but I created a possible AU for that event but it's very different, in this story, the core exploded because of one man, but not because he was an idiot, he realized that the drones were alive but the company was enslaving them and treating them like they were in their control. So he decided to free them, but to do so, he'd have to make the ultimate sacrifice...
(I'm just gonna call the man Nick)
So what Nick does, he is able to get all the worker drones, and move them into multiple secure vaults deep below ground, vaults that are strong enough to take on a massive explosion, this explains how the drones would survive, yes they're made out of sturdy metal, but they aren't indestructible, especially since murder drones can harm them easily. Soon, the people on copper 9 would become confused as to where all the drones are and why they're not doing work. What Nick then goes to do, is he enters the mines of copper 9 and drops a dangerous chemical into the planets core, after a while of absorbing the chemical, the core would explode, eventually the company found out about this and ordered an evacuation of the planet, but there wouldn't be enough time, here are the final moments of all those people before the core exploded...
Nick is driving home in his car, he sees people in the streets panicking, as he tries to move carefully around them, he looks around at the panicking people in the streets fearing for their lives as he thinks about what he's about to do, he's about to sacrifice who knows how many people just so the worker drones could earn their freedom, he was about to commit genocide. Nick knew how wrong this was, despite the fact that he was helping the drones earn their freedom, he was resorting to killing so many people to do that, and did they really deserve to die? It didn't seem all that fair. But it seemed to be the only way. And Nick didn't care about the consequences of this action, he thought it be fair that if he's gonna kill all the people on copper 9 with a global explosion. He might as well die with them. He had no intention to survive this, if he did, he'd have to face the consequences of his actions, something he's not ready for. Eventually, after a while, he drove back home, he went inside, his sister was there waiting for him, she asked "Where's the drones?" And Nick responded, ".... The drones are safe." They meet up with their parents, Nick's Dad sees him and can already tell that he had done it. He sighs and walks over to him and hugs him saying "This isn't the end son." And Nick replies "I know." His mother and sister then join the hug as they wait for the explosion to finally happen.
Suddenly, a loud bang can be heard in the distance, as bright light rays start shining through their window, signifying the explosion has happened, we then see the explosion from outside the house, as the blast from the explosion expands, making it's way through the city, destroying everything in it's path, buildings were being torn apart by the incoming blast, cars were being flung forward by it. We then see the blast reach Nick and his family, killing them in an instant. As the blast continues to expand, destroying everything it touches, it then cuts to what the explosion looks like from the outside, as in from outside the planet, a massive cloud can be seen rising out of the planet, pinpointing the location the explosion reached the surface, the blast can be seen slowly engulfing the planet surface in fire. Leaving nothing but ash and smashed buildings behind, all the people on the planet were dead.
It would then show the whole entire planet become engulfed in fire.
After a while, it would show what the damage had done, the entire planet had a nuclear winter on it. Then suddenly, a small entrance opened up, and out climbed a few worker drones, they looked around seeing what had happened. One of them saw a human skeleton, then pushed it down as it shattered to pieces. All the humans were gone.
The drones were finally free.
(Alright, that's the end of this one, this one was probably the darkest one yet to be honest. Now don't take this to seriously, this is just an AU and is not canon in any way ok? Good)
