~Leah~

Two periods passed by pretty quickly. Teresa and I were walking in the hallway when we saw Niall standing in the principal's office.
"What did he do now?" Teresa whisper-asked.
I shrugged. Since we both were curious and nosy people, we started eavesdropping.

"Niall you do know that if you continue like this, you're going to fail and you won't graduate, right?" Mr Jeffords asked.
"I won't graduate because of one class?" Niall sounded pissed.
"Your grades for other classes aren't high either. You're average in them. The only class you have an A is your Spanish class."

"And English." He muttered.

"Do something for your math Niall. At least get the passing grade so you would graduate with your friends." Mr Jeffords sighed.
Once we heard footsteps we rushed away so they wouldn't catch us eavesdropping.
"Everything alright?" I heard Louis asking Niall while we walked toward our next class.

It was lunchtime and Teresa and I were gossiping while eating.
"Great." Teresa said sarcastically once she spilled some sauce on her shirt.
I snorted at her.
"I'll be back." She walked toward the washroom.

"Look who is eating on her own." I heard Luke saying while his squad sat at our table. Dave and him sat on each side of me and his other two friends sat in front of me.
"Teresa is in the bathroom." I mumbled.
"You sure you want to eat that?" Luke asked as I was about to take a bite of my sandwich.
I swallowed hard placing my food back on the tray.

"There you go, have an apple." Dave joked placing an apple on my tray.
"Didn't see you at the pool at Horan's party." Luke commented.
"I understand why. If she looks like this with her clothes on, imagine what would she look like without her clothes on." Derek, Luke's other friend made a face.

"Nice talking to you Leah." Luke laughed and left with his squad.
I stared at the sandwich in front of me with my hands on my stomach.

"That sauce would not leave my shirt without a fight." Teresa said while sitting in front of me. I forced a smile.
"Why aren't you eating?" she asked while chewing.
"I ate something before lunch so I'm not that hungry. Do you want it?"
"No, I'm full." She took the last bite of her sandwich. I ended up giving the sandwich and the apple to the janitor.

The next day I walked into my Spanish class. I noticed Niall sitting by the window.
"Hey." I sat next to him.
He nodded while looking out the window.
"Move. That's my seat." Tatiana said.

As I wanted to grab my stuff Niall held my wrist and looked at Tatiana. He looked mad. I mean if looks could kill Tatiana would be buried down by now.
"You don't own the school. And not everything revolves around you. So get lost." He stared into her soul.
Tatiana scoffed and walked away.

"That was ... um ... cold." Niall let go of my wrist.
"I talked to her the way she talks to others." He shrugged.
I smiled taking my notebook out of my bag.
"I wanted to talk to you about something." Niall said.
"Oh?"

He bit his lower lip as if he was nervous. Is he finally going to ask me to sleep with him?! Oh. My. God. It's happening, isn't it? A big smile sat on my face.

"Are you good at maths?"
"What?" My voice came all high.
"Are you good at maths?" he gave me a weird look since I was smiling like a maniac.
"Yeah. I love math." I tried playing it off though my voice was still high-pitched.

"Great. You said you needed help with the Spanish test right?"
"I believe so, yeah." I cleared my throat.
"I will help you with your Spanish test, if you help me with math."

Tutoring each other? Meaning spending more time with him. Higher chance of sleeping with each other.
"DEAL" I yelled.
"I mean ... cool. Whateves." I waved him off.

"Whateves?" he asked with a hint of a smile on his face.
I closed my eyes in embarrassment.
"Good morning class." Our teacher walked in.
"Oh Thank God." I said under my breath causing Niall to chuckle.

"So you guys are going to tutor each other?" Teresa asked.
She's my best friend of course I was going to tell her the very first chance I got.
"Yeah." I shrugged pretending I was not freaking out.
"Well I'm happy for you?"
"Thanks." I laughed.

"Leah." I heard Niall calling my name.
"Yes?"
"You're going home?" he asked.
Teresa and I nodded.
"I was going to ask you to come over my house. We need to start with our lessons today if I want to catch up." He said.

"Oh? Oh. Okay ... well ... um ... sure. What's your address? No wait I already know that since I came to your party." I rambled.

"Leah come on. I've got my bike." He titled his head toward his motorbike while smiling lightly.
"But Teressa has no ride."
"Girl don't worry about me." She patted me on the back.
"But."
"I can drop her off." Harry offered walking toward us.

Teresa practically begged me with her eyes.
"Okay then." I laughed in my head.
"Hop on." Niall told me handing me a helmet. Oh he had gloves on.

Fuck. Me.

I sat behind him and wrapped my arm around his torso.
"Just a heads up that this is my very first time riding a bike."
"Really?" He placed his helmet on.
"Yeah. So careful please." I said while he turned on his engine.
"Oh don't worry. I'm always careful while driving."

He didn't drive away. He flew away.

"Fuck. You." I yelled closing my eyes.
"You wish." He laughed.
He got that one right.

"Hi, Mom." Niall greeted his mother once we entered the house through the kitchen back door.
"Hi." She looked at us confused.
"This is Leah. I'm supposed to tutor her for the Spanish test."
I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"And she's going to tutor me for math." He rolled his eyes.
"Nice to meet you, darling." She shook my hand kindly.
"Hello!" a young girl came to our view.
"Hello there." I waved at her and smiled at her.
"She's my sister Bella." Niall introduced her to me.
I nodded.

"Alright, we'll be upstairs." Niall said over his shoulder.
"Don't forget that tonight I'm on night shift." His mother said.
"Okay."
His room was a typical teenage boy's room. Black walls with some posters hanging on them. Though his guitar collection grabbed my attention.

"Alright. Which one should we start first? Math or Spanish?"
"Well, we still have time for Spanish so let's start with Math." I suggested while my eyes were still on his guitar collection. I wonder how he plays them. And if he's any good then he should be really good with playing with-

"Leah?"

I jumped back.
"Sorry, what did you say?"
"I said do you want me to grab you anything to drink?"
"Oh no, I'm good thanks."
"Okay then, let's start." He grabbed his math book placing it on his desk.

We spent an hour on matrices. A slow start but eventually he caught on.
"Niall, honey." His mother knocked coming in.
She was wearing scrubs.
"I'm off. I made you all dinner just heat it before you serve it. And take care of Bella." She said.
Niall nodded in response.

"Bye, Leah it was nice seeing you."
"It was nice seeing you too, Mrs Horan."
I felt Niall tensing up.
"Call me Sophie." She smiled sadly and shook my hand.
She then left the room.

"She's a doctor?" I asked Niall.
"Nurse." He mumbled still feeling tense.
"That's so cool." I said genuinely.
He nodded while staring at his book. As he was thinking about something.
"I need to check on my sister. I think we're cool for today." He got up and left the room.

Did he kick me out of his house? Did I say or do something wrong? Confusingly I packed my bag to leave. I went downstairs.

"Where are you going?" Niall asked furrowing his eyebrows.
"Home?" This boy was so confusing.
"Without eating anything?"
"But ... But you said we're cool for today." If they say girls are confusing, they haven't met Niall yet.
"Yeah, I meant with our lesson. Did you think I kicked you out of the house?"

"Oh."
"You can stay as long as you want to."
"Stay for dinner!" Bella said jumping up and down.
And I did.
