It depends on how you see it but the end is a little dark (for a kids story) but it should be fine. Just letting you know just in case you are sensitive to that. UwU

This is the story The Gingerbread Man told from the perspective of the Fox.

'As a fox, people say I'm cunning and sly because naturally I'm sneaky and deceitful. Who can blame them for thinking like that?' I thought to myself as I walked down the dirt path that led to the old couples house. "I could smell the sweet scent of gingerbread coming from the house earlier." I thought out loud. As I got closer to the old house I noticed the window was open. I got closer to the window and saw a gingerbread person come to life, jump out of the oven, and run out of the house. "He's going towards the river," I thought to myself. I smiled knowing that he would need my 'help' crossing the river. 'He smells delicious' I thought as I hurried to follow the cookie.

'The cookie is pretty quick he has out ran the old couple, I'm sure they gave up on chasing him now. There was a cow and a horse but he out ran them too which is very surprising because I thought horses were supposed to be faster. The Gingerbread man has finally arrived at the river. I need to hide and act like I've been here the whole time.' The cookie examined the river as the fox came out from behind the trees that surrounded the area. "If you need help across the river you can ride on my tail while I swim across." I said with a hungry glint in my eye. The cookie looked as if he was determining if he could trust me or not. If he's smart he won't. The Gingerbread man got on my tail as I got into the water 'he is heavy on my tail' I thought to myself. Half way through the river I told the cookie to get on my head, for my tail was getting tired, he obliged. We reached the end of the river and before he got off my snout I bit his arm and pushed him to the ground and feasted upon the idiot cookie.

As I feasted upon the gingerbread man limb-by-limb, he cried in agony as he was eaten, "I'm quarter gone!" But soon after devouring the last few crumbs of the gingerbread man he whispered to himself "I'm all gone..". "Though he was tasty, he wasn't as filling as I originally hoped" I thought out loud. I started my way back to the other side of the river, seeking something to satisfy what the cookie couldn't. I trotted on the dirt path past the other animals who weren't clever enough to get The Gingerbread Man. I walked back to the old couple's house,I could smell freshly baked Gingerbread. I looked through the window again and what I had seen had filled me with excitement. There was the beginning of a new gingerbread person, a girl. I raced back to the river, as I ran I heard the faint sing-song voice of the girl cookie. "How exciting" I said as I neared the river.
