Two weeks went by and the talent show was scheduled to happen that afternoon. Excited tension ruled the academy as the recruits were looking forward to the trip.
One bot was particularly nervous, her armor tensing up every five seconds. Sarah sat alone in her berthroom, hugging her knees. A knock on the door made her jump.
"Sarah? What are you doing in here?" Whirl asked as she entered the room. The blue helicopter picked up on the frantic pulses in her classmate's field. "We're leaving in ten minutes..."
"I don't think I can do this Whirl.... What if he doesn't like it?" The femme mumbled, burying her face in her knees.
"Oh, come on Sarah, you practiced endlessly. Of course you can do it." Whirl encouraged her wing girl, wrapping a servo around her shoulders.
Sarah scratched her yellow paint and sighed. "Yeah... yeah you're right Whirl. I can do this."
Both femmes got to their pedes, walking towards the Groundbridge control room. The others were already there, with the green bridge sizzling in the background.
Medix watched them come in, his spark pacing as he laid his blue optics on Sarah. He still hadn't figured out how to tell her. But at least he could act normal around her now.
"Are you ready to go, recruits?" Blades asked and he seemed excited as well.
"Yes sir!" they all cheered, walking through the Groundbridge together. They were met with music and flashing lights.
Medix blinked with his optics against the lights. "Is this noise all part of the show?" he questioned.
"It sure is Medix," Cody said as he zipped over on his hoverboard to greet the bots. The white mech scoffed softly, clearly not impressed.
"Aw lighten up Medix, this'll be so exciting! Seeing all the humans perform?" Hoist elbowed his friend, earning him a glare from said friend.
They all took place at the back of the crowd to oversee the show. The lights on the stage dimmed.
"Welcome everyone! To the Griffin Rock Talent Show!"
"Wait... is that..?" Wedge asked, but he was cut off when the lights on stage were turned on, revealing...
"Frankie?!" The recruits finished his sentence, baffled to see the girl on stage, presenting the show.
"Indeed, Frankie volunteered to present the talent show with enthusiasm." A voice behind them said.
The bots turned around to see Doctor Greene standing behind them, smiling proudly. "I'm sure she will do great Doc," Boulder said.
They watched the islanders perform various acts, under which a very... memorable performance from Priscilla Pynch.
While everyone was watching a magician's act, Whirl helped sneak Sarah to the back of the stage for her upcoming performance.
"Good luck." The blue helicopter whispered, before sneaking off back to the others. Sarah swallowed her nerves and waited for her turn.
After the magician's act, Frankie returned to the stage to announce the next performer.
"And now, for our next performer! A very special guest straight from Cybertron!" she announced cheerily, before stepping to the side as the lights twirled around and then focused to reveal Sarah on the stage.
