The Master of Leviathan liked to think of himself as an approachable man: 'a father to the world', and yet he couldn't be a father to his real son.

That was why the members of Leviathan were like his children. He'd plucked them from places they weren't loved, neglected; many of them from Partizan positions - a role that was forced upon them without any say.

His latest addition to Leviathan was a confident young man - Haruki Hinamori, or Haru as he preferred to be called, which the Master honoured, of course. Haru was not like most of his other recruits in a way that the Master could not describe. Maybe it was his carefree attitude that opposed most of the other members. Where people like Ingrid aimed to please, Haru's target was for his own gain, as if he had a point to prove as a Partizan undercover. That's why the Master had picked him to complete this particular mission.

"Saskia." The Master stopped his recruit in the corridor. She was staring face down at the floor as if she was scared. Scared of doing something wrong. The Master knew Saskia was also different to many of his other recruits, but not in the way Haru was. Saskia was withdrawn, only bound to Leviathan by the belief that one day she and her master would be free. The Master hoped that could be true for her sake, but he could only help her if first, she helped him. "Please ask Haru to meet me by the front doors. As soon as possible, if you please."

She said nothing in response, but nodded eagerly. Maybe she was more similar to Ingrid than the Master had originally thought. Saskia wasted no time in scurrying off to find Haru, her eagerness radiating off her, her desire to do well only fueled by hope rather than gain.

The Master strolled through the Leviathan complex until he arrived at the front doors. He only had to wait a few minutes before he noticed Haru coming into view at the end of the corridor, a confident smile etched on his face and his hands behind his back.

"You wanted to see me, Master?" Haru said, his face visible unlike Saskia who hid in fear.

"Yes, Haru. I have a job I need doing, and I'm afraid I can't be the one to complete it seeing as it involves entering my home country." The Master spoke openly even though his exile was not something he was proud of.

"Of course Master. I agree going into Maradova now would be most unwise." Haru assented, still smiling.

"Of course it would be strange for you to go into Maradova with no alibi or reason..."

"Don't worry master. I have a way with Sayuri. I can make it seem like it is her idea to go to Maradova, and of course I will be obliged to go with her by my Partizan duties."

"Excellent, Haru. Although Sayuri cannot ever know your plan while you are there. Nor can she ever know of your association with Leviathan." The Master pressed, making sure this fact was indented in Haru's mind forever - his most important job was to remain hidden.

"Don't worry, Master. Sayuri will never suspect a thing."
