Adam growled as he dodged another of Derek's attacks. His wings were throbbing as he beat them rapidly to dodge the many attacks Derek threw at him. "Come on guy's....where are you?!" He growled. He couldn't keep this up much longer...Suddenly, a Surprise attack threw him into a house. He tried to find the strength to get up, but he couldn't. He felt himself being lifted into the air, but he was too weak to move as Derek drained the last of his power.
"Look at your hero now, peasants...fallen, weak, pathetic. He is a liar to you. A deciever." Derek mocked shaking his limp body for extra measure to prove his point.
Adam mustered up the last of his strength. "Th-the only....deceiver here is....y-you, Derek!" He yelled hoarsly.
Derek growled at him before grinning. "Look at you. The child who ran away. The orphan prince who lost his kingdom to me, and will lose it all again. Except this time, you actually had a chance to stop me. This time, there's no escape." He growled throwing the prince to the ground, the crowd gasping in shock. "Do you ever wonder what it's like to hear you name said for the last time? Well here it goes. Goodbye, Prince Adamalla of the Aether." He said, gathering a pillar of shadows over the fallen Aetherinian. Suddenly he stopped and let out a hiss of pain. A recruit had thrown a burning lantern at him.
"He may be some mythic legend, but in the Sky Army, he's still our General Sky!!" She yelled, other recruits shouting in agreement.
"Do you wish to die, peasant?!" Derek yelled, but was interrupted as another lantern was thrown at him. Then another. Then ten more. Adam grinned slightly as Derek got frustrated. He brought himself back up to his knees before standing up again. Derek roared and slammed his shadows down furiously at the recruit, injuring some, but not many. "Do you FOOLS really believe throwing petty lantern will save your leader from his fate?!" He growled.
Suddenly all the lights went out and every spot light in the base appeared on Derek. He screamed in agony as a sizzling sound was heard. Smoke rose to the sky as the light made contact with Derek's shadows. Adam drove his sword into Derek's back. Chips of Derek's skin cracked and vaporized into bright light. A blinding light overtook everybody's vision, before slowly fading away with Derek's last scream being heard. All that stood in his place were two shattered crystals that were once the large glowing white eyes of his. Adam's sword dropped from his hands as he knees gave out. "It's over....It's all over." He whipered, tears of relief falling from his eyes as his senses numbed, and his blackened.
~~~~Somewhere in the void~~~~
"So...he did it then? Derek's gone? For good?"
"Yes, brother. Was there ever a doubt?"
"Well....yes!"
"It was prophecy, brother."
"I know that!!"
"Calm down, Herobrine. No need to be rash. Derek is gone. This is a time of peace."
"But for how long?"
"...I don't know. Let history play on by itself. Our subjects will be ready for whatever comes."
"What of the Aether? What will happen to it?"
"We'll let him decide after he wakes. Let him rest now, brother. He deserves it."
~~~~~Heh, heh. Long time no see? ^^; No this book isn't done, yet. I'll work on it, don't worry. As for an excuse for my absense? My ipad broke, and I forgot the password to my wattpad.
