Adam woke up in his room and looked around. Had he done it? Was Derek gone? Little gifts were scattered around the room, wrapped in multiple colours of wrapping paper. His wings were folded against his back neatly, and everything looked fine and peaceful. He blinked a couple times before letting out a hoarse cry of triumph, and tears of relief raced down his face as he beamed happily. A nurse came in, hearing his cry.
"Sir?! Are you Ok?!" She asked hastily.
"I'm f-fine..." He sniffled. "I'm just...really, really happy."

Two months have passed since Adam vanquished the Shadow Lord Derek. Re-construction was going smoothly, and Adam had since coped with the fact Derek was gone and he didn't need to hide, although therapy was advised just in case. He had even started to leave his cape and sunglasses off, but habits and insecurities still made him feel uncomfortable with showing his 'features' to the public. Ant graciously apologized for impersonating Adam and faced the consequences, which consisted of community service and a small fine. Team Crafted apologized and the bond of their friendship was stronger than ever, the opposite of what Adam feared would happen.
Adam was overseeing construction when Ty ran up to him. "Hey, two foreign diplomats need to speak to us." He said. Adam nodded and followed him to the throne room where two hooded men stood speaking quietly to one another. His friends were already in the room. Ty closed the doors and nodded to the guards, signifying for them to leave.
"Prince Adam. Thank you for meeting with us so quickly." The taller one said.
'That voice...I've heard it before...' Adam thought, but still nodded. "Please. Just call me Sk- er...Adam. Call me Adam." He said.
The man chuckled. "As you wish Adam." He said.
"Adam, we have an offer for you." The younger spoke. Adam's eyebrows furrowed as he tried to remember where this voice had come from.
"What kind of offer?" Jerome answered for him.
"A chance to bring back his home." The first said, removing his hood. The second did the same. Everyone gasped and bowed.
"Lord Notch and Lord Herobrine..." Adam said, bowing as well, the voices now coming back to memory.
The two nodded. "Arise." Notch said as they did.
"What do you mean bring back my home? It was destroyed...no known portals are left in existence." Adam said as he and his friends stood.
Herobrine stepped forward. "Yes, but there is one. Derek didn't have the power to destroy an entire diminsion, Adam. He could only banish it. You were able to escape before the portals were closed, and then, in order to protect you, you were put in a dreamless sleep for 2,005 years while we banished Derek." He said.
"The people were trapped in a rift through time. But with Derek vanquished, the rift has been patched and the time wound is healed. Your people are just starting to awaken, scared and confused. They need a leader." Notch said. "Of course, it's entirely up to you. You do have a kingdom to run. If you refuse, me and my brother shall rule over it until a new ruler is selected." Notch said nodding at Herobrine who nodded in return.
Adam looked down. A chance to see his home again...his mother, his people, his heritage...everything he had yearned to see for so long was now in front of him. He looked back at his friend who were considering the option as well. Adam sighed internally. They all knew what would happen if he accepted...they would be forced to say goodbye to each other. They may not ever get to see each other again.
"I think I've reached a decision..." He said, taking a breath before walking over to Ty. "Ty, you've been my friend for as long as I can remember. I trust you with my life and you're always there for me...that's why I'm leaving you with the base." He said as he handed him a golden pin that symbolized the position of the commander.
