The sky was pitch dark, and enormous clouds were approaching her. She heard a tap on the window, which turned into a pitter-patter. As the clouds spat forth their droplets of water, people raced for safety outside and umbrellas were opened. As the rain got stronger, puddles began to form. The cars' roofs were splattered with rain, and she could hear the rain muttering through the glass.

Ashlyn closed the curtains and sighed, drinking the rest of her coffee and rubbing her eyes, trying to complete the thesis paper she has been working on for the past two hours.

The heavy raindrops ricocheted in all directions as torrents of rain slammed against the pavement. The trees trembled in the fierce wind as if they were attempting to shake off the rain like a dog shaking his wet fur.

She turned back to her computer, playing apocalypse by cigarettes after sex loudly to avoid the loud thundering of the sky.

You've been locked in there forever, and you just can't say goodbye.

She leaned back on her chair, lightly massaging her head with the tip of her fingers, trying to avoid the light hiss that passes through her lips every time her metal rings brush against her forehead.

Her head jerked up in pain as she stood up to see the thundering becoming louder with every second.

The booming thunder, bolts of lightning, pounding rain, and whistling wind were causing her to become disoriented and nervous. She wished for the rumbling to come to a halt, even if only for a moment so that she could get her thoughts shorted out.

Her head snapped towards her bedroom door when she heard the ringing of the bell.

There was nobody in the whole house, there was nobody on the streets, it was raining cats and dogs out there and she lived in a secluded rich area of the town where not many people came in general, so why would someone be here at this time?

She rushed towards the door, not forgetting to take her pepper spray in her hand just in case someone tries to kill her. You can never be sure you know?

She opened the door and the sight in front of her made her world stop. A heavy feeling settled in her stomach looking at the person in front of her as she quickly threw the pepper spray away and rushed to him.

There stood Noah, who was completely drenched in water, his entire face bruised.
