Life was never easy to the Hong siblings, with both parents gone at a young age and only having each other to lean on. Siyeon had to step up as the oldest to take care of both herself and her younger brother, Minjun.

Having to take on three part time jobs to ensure there was food on the table, a roof over their heads and warm clothes on their backs. Having to take on the parental role meant that Siyeon had to grow up quickly to not only fend for herself but her brother too.

While her school friends hung out and sang their lungs out at karaoke, Siyeon was scrubbing tables clean. While they had sleepovers, Siyeon was sat at the dining table stressing over the bills that kept piling up, as they slept soundly at night, Siyeon stood in front of a counter her eyes struggling to stay open as she worked.

She hated her life, she hated how she couldn't hangout with her friends, she hated how she had to change out of her school uniform only to change only into her works uniform. She hated how life was unfair to her,

But she would go through all of it again and again if it meant that her brother wouldn't have to worry about whether they were going to eat that night or not, or whether the water would be cut because the rent wasn't paid back in time.

Siyeon hadn't really worried about herself growing up, she was one to always put her brother first, to have his best interest in mind.

So when Siyeon landed a job as a personal assistant to none other than Chairman Kang, she was happy for both herself and her brother.

Siyeon had proved over and over that her brother would always come first, so it came as quite a shock to her friends that someone other than her brother had started occupying her mind, and even more of a shock that it was her bosses grandson.
