"Huhh.." Lisa sighed when she finished decorating the whole house. She jumped down from the chair and kept it where it was before.
It was Christmas Eve and her husband, Taehyung was out of town. He went abroad for business matter last month and told her that he will return today evening. So she was decorating the whole house and decided to make his favourite food.
She put on her apron and played a song. Swaying her hips according to the tune of the song, she started cooking.
After a lot of effort and burning a few food items, she finally succeeded in making a cake, some macrons and his favourite foods and drinks. She burnt her hand a few times too.
"I could be a great chef." Lisa praised herself, watching all the masterpiece food she created.
"That's enough. I'll go and get ready now." Lisa took off her apron and ran upstairs.
Coming out of the shower, she wore a red dress and clipped half of her hair with a bow and let others free and put minimal make up. She twirled infront of the mirror, checking her appearance. She was satisfied with it and walked downstairs.
Lisa took a glance around to assure that everything was perfect. Her eyes turned towards her phone when she heard a notification. The text was from Taehyung. Smiling, she opened it and soon her smile turned to frown.
Taehyung:
I'm really sorry, baby. I won't be able to come today.
Reading his message, Lisa was upset. He told her that he will definitely be back for Christmas. And she decorated the house and made food just for him and he's not coming.
She was sad. But she understood him.
Lisa:
Its okay, Tae. I understand.
Taehyung:
Thanks for understanding, baby. I love you.
Lisa:
I love you too.
Lisa sighed and kept her phone aside. All of her efforts went in vein. A tear dropped from her eye. She wiped it and walked towards the stairs. She turned her head towards the front door when she heard someone ring the bell.
Opening the door, she saw Taehyung standing there with a wide smile. "Taehyung? You're here?" Lisa asked unbelievably.
"Yes, baby." He entered inside and closed the door and walked towards the living room.
Lisa was still standing near the door, confused. "You told that you won't be able to come today." She walked to him.
Taehyung smiled and snuggled his arms around her waist. "That was a prank." He smiled and kissed her cheek.
"I hate you. I took so effort to decorate the whole house and when you said that you're not coming I was sad" Lisa pouted.
"Aww...I'm so sorry, baby. I just want to surprise you." Taehyung back hugged her and apologised.
"I was going to throw away the food I made if you didn't came." She turned around and sulked.
"I'm glad that I came at the right time. There's no way I'm gonna miss the delicious food my wife made." Taehyung said.
Seeing her sulking again he lifted her chin and asked "Are you still angry?"
"Yes." She yanked his hand away and turned around, pouting.
"I'm sorry. Please forgive me, baby. I will never do it again." He wrapped his hands around her.
"Fine. You're forgiven." Lisa said.
"Thank you. You're the best." He tightened his arms around her and pecked her cheek, "Now, Can I get a kiss?" Taehyung asked with a naughty smile.
"No, Mr.Kim. You're not getting a kiss from me for two weeks." Lisa said with finalty.
"Why?" He asked.
"That's the punishment for your stupid pranks." Lisa pushed him away and walked towards the kitchen.
"No, you can't leave without kissing me." He held her wrist and stopped her.
"Why? I'm not going to kiss you." Lisa said and turned her head away.
"Look up." Taehyung leaned in and whispered in her ear.
Lisa looked up and saw a mistletoe hanging on top of them. She sighed knowing she was the one who hung it up there. Now, she have to kiss him.
"Now, you have no options other than to kiss me, Mrs.Kim." He smiled in victory.
Lisa grabbed his tie and pulled him closer to her. Taehyung hugged her waist. She leaned in and placed a quick peck on his lips. She about to broke the kiss, but he held her face and kissed her passionately.
"I'm sorry." Taehyung broke the kiss and whispered near her lips, joining their forehead and intertwined their hands.
"Its okay." Lisa whispered back.
"I have a gift for you." Taehyung said to brighten up her mood.
Lisa looked up at his face. "What's the gift?" She asked smiling.
"Close your eyes." He said. Lisa obeyed and closed her eyes tightly.
Taehyung went and came back with a huge box in his hand, he placed it on the ground.
"Now, open your eyes." Lisa opened her eyes. She gave a confused look to Taehyung upon seeing the box in front of her.
"Open it." He instructed.
Lisa knelt beside the box and opened it. Her eyes lit up and a huge smile grew on her lips.
There was a little Pomeranian puppy, cutely looking at her.
"Aww..baby." Lisa picked the pup and cradled it.
"Do you like it?" Taehyung asked from behind.
"I loved it. Thank you so much.." She pecked his cheek and started playing with the pup.
"Guess I will not get any attention from her anymore..."
