Team FLME Volume 9

Burn Up

After the opening, Isaac's bullhead is shown as he is in the pilot's seat. Beside him is Roz. Both of them navigate the ship around, overseeing the battlefields of Fort Frollo. Ships still rain hell fire down onto the Grimm and fortress as the last of the Ombre Army fire back, taking out a few of the ground troops. Ember steps into the cockpit with them and glances down at the attacking Grimm.

Ember: We need to get back in there. Now.

Roz: Easier said then done.

Ember: Wasn't talking to you.

Isaac: Cool it. She's right. We don't have a stable landing zone. We either crash this ship and go out fighting or stay up here and try to take out as many as we can.

Inside the main holding area, Elsa and Bazaar are standing, looking out to see the battle as well. They glanced to one another and looked back to Leia and May. Sitting along the back of the ship is Team VILE. Elsa rubbed her chin a little before snapping her fingers with the realization. She turns back to Leia.

Elsa: (To Leia) You went through pilot training, right?

Leia: Of Mantas. Nothing like this!

Elsa: Control schemes are exactly the same! We need a pilot and we need it now!

Leia: What?

Elsa: Isaac!

Elsa ran up into the cockpit of the ship, slamming her hand down onto the back of Isaac's seat. Isaac banked hard, barely avoiding a few Griffions as Roz gunned them down.

Elsa: We need to get down there now! Switch off and move down to intercept.

Isaac: With who?!

Elsa: Burns!

Isaac: Burns?!

Roz: BANK!!

Isaac banked a hard right, barely avoiding a Nevermore. May and Leia leaned out from the back and opened fire onto the massive beast. The Nevermore screeched out and flapped its wings back around to the ship. Violet ran from her seat and joined Leia on the right, shooting at the Grimm.

Violet: Make up your minds!

Elsa: Burns!

Leia: Oh it! Tag out!

Leia ran back to the cockpit as Isaac and Roz both leapt out of their seats and ran to the back of the ship. Both huntsmen leapt out of the ship, diving down towards the ground. Roz used her semblance on her blade and slammed down into the skull off a Deathstalker. Isaac landed beside the beast, slashing at the right legs and cutting them off. He used his own semblance and slammed a pool of lava down and burned a few Grimm away.

Up inside the bullhead, Leia is strapped in, banking the ship left and right to avoid the Nevermore on their tail. Bazaar glances back and then down to the younger huntsmen.

Bazaar: Stay secured. Keep fighting.

Bazaar leaps out and transforms into his eagle form. Violet sighs a little.

Violet: Yeah. Because it's not like we just crashed a bullhead earlier today.

Elsa leaps out too, falling down towards Isaac and Roz on the battlefield. As she is about to land, she uses her semblance to make an ice tower, landing down onto it. She flips herself to the side and kicks the tower, eyes glowing blue and white as her semblance launches it forward into a few Grimm. She runs forward, slashing at seven different Beowolves before stopping and seething her blade. All seven are cut into several pieces.

She turns back and nods. As she does, a giant Ursa appears behind her and almost strikes. She spins back to block but is slammed down onto by the beast. The jaws of the Ursa snap around her neck and violently thrash around. Elsa thrusts her blade up but it hits the armor of the Grimm. Pink spikes then emerge from the back of the Grimm, cutting into it and killing it instantly. The jaws open and Elsa rolls out.
