Margaret woke up startled. She wondered if it had all been a nightmare. So much had happened in such little time. Her brain couldn't process everything correctly. She wondered if her father would stay true to his word and visit her once more. She longed to finally fight, to finally be beside her father. She arose from her plush bed. She did her usual routine, though her mind was on too many things to focus on even the simplest of tasks. She pulled her computer out as she stuffed her mouth with toast.
There were plenty of articles regarding the incident in Lagos, which she had already read extensively about. It had happened weeks before, but was still making headlines everywhere. She sympathized with Wanda Maximoff. Wanda wasn't much older than Margaret. She knew she could never take that much emotional weight, especially after Wanda's brother passing away as well.
She was scrolling through when something caught her eye. She watched the video after clicking the link. "Amazing Man-Spider saves bus full of kids!" read the title of the video. It showed a man swinging through New York on a spider web-like line, not too far from her neighborhood. The man was attempting to keep up with a car traveling at the speed of light. The car was on the verge of colliding with a massive bus, but the man swooped in like a knight in shining armor, arriving just in time. Man-Spider. That's what the title said. That didn't feel quite right though. It was too stiff, too freaky. Spider-man. That was more suitable. She wondered who was behind the mask. Maybe a dashing prince, ready to save the world, with blue sparkly eyes and blonde shiny hair. Maybe a wrinkly old man whose days were running short. Her thoughts of Spider-man trailed off until she could think no longer.
News of Peggy Carter's death had spread as well. Apparently, she was more known than Margaret thought. There were pictures of Steve and several other Avengers at the funeral and videos of Sharon's heartfelt speech. Margaret was grateful none of the tabloids had even thought to wonder who the teenage girl sitting next to Captain America was. Her dad would've made a freakshow out of it if they had.
She would've continued to scroll if it weren't for the loud burst of the door. Steve came running in, breaking out in sweat. His face had such a look of panic ; his eyes a look of fear.
"Dad, what's-" she started but quickly was interrupted.
"We need to go, now," he said in all seriousness.
"You're scaring me-where?" Margaret said, alarmed by the sudden upbringing of the situation.
"Vienna,"

Steve had recapped everything for Margaret. From what she understood, there had been an explosion at the signing of the accords. King
T'chaka, the king of Wakanda, didn't make it, and now his son, Prince T'challa, was seeking vengeance. He seemed pretty shaken about the whole situation for some reason, like he didn't believe it was real.
They arrived at the scene, and it was chaotic to say the least. The whole building had crumbled. Debris was everywhere, as were people, with terror spread across their faces. They stopped at a tree as her father pulled a phone out of his pocket.
"Stay close," he said abruptly.
He called someone and whoever they were picked up the phone. Margaret tried to listen in closely.
"Hey," she heard from the other side of the phone.
"You alright?"
Margaret couldn't pick up on what the other had said, only bits and pieces like, "lucky" and "Please"
