Mr Bad Boy

Prologue

If you told me two years ago that I would make it to college, I would've laughed in your face. But here I am, standing on the campus I'm going to be living on for the next four years.
     My bestfriend, Jaelyn Jones steps up next to me after getting the rest of her bags out of our taxi. She looks up at the great hall in amazement as I do the same.
"This doesn't feel real." she says suddenly. Without looking over at her I nod my head.
"It really doesn't. This is so strange, it feels like just yesterday we were starting 1st grade." Jae let's out a dry laugh as we think back of our first day of 1st grade. The year she became my bestfriend.
"How are we are starting college?! Jesus, this is unbelievable. I'm not prepared at all. What if we got this scholarship for nothing? What if we do absolutely horrible? no no- IM going to do absolutely horrible, you're-!" Jae starts panicking. She's always been like that. It's the way she is.
"Hey, hey, look at me." I turn her to look at me. "You are going to be fine. We are in this together alright? Don't talk down on yourself like that. You are way more smarter than you think and you can do this. Don't think too hard about it, alright? Now let's take our mind off of this and go get settled into our dorm. Then we can start decorating, I know you love that." I tell her. She smiles lightly and grabs my hand pulling me inside.
Me and Jae both pause as we get inside, it's way more beautiful than the outside. We look around confused on where we are supossed to go until Jae pulls me over to the window of the main office. Luckily, there wasn't a line yet since we got here pretty early.
"Hello, what're you're names?" the lady at the desk spoke.
"Hi, i'm Jaelyn Jones and this is Aloura Emerson. We are here for our schedules and keys to our dorm. And honestly anything else we would need to know." Jae said. She sounds much more confident then how she did outside.
I watched with anticipation as the lady scrolled through her computer and made a noise as she found us.
"Okay, I am going to go print your schedules real quick. After I come back, I'll find you your keys." She said with a soft smile. We both smiled back and waited until she's fully around the corner. Me and Jae both turn to eachother and widen our eyes.
About three minutes later, she comes back with our schedules and our keys.
"Here you go girls, you will be starting your classes next week so feel free to explore and decorate your dorm. I suggest you go over to 'Little Miss Evie's Ice Cream' and try their ice cream because it is to die for. Have a great rest of your day!" she says as she turns to help out the next people in line. We smile and rush out of there. A line is starting to form at the window so thank god we both there at the time we did.
"Well that was fun." I laughed. Jae smiled before looking down at the key to see if she can find the room number. "Okay let's go find this dorm."
"So it says here that it's room 345 on floor six. I can't find the apartment number thou- oh wait here, apartment number 7." Jae read. Soon enough, we found the dorm.
"Okay, you ready?" I ask as Jae smiles and quickly nods. We open the door anxiously to see our room. It's very neat looking. It has two beds, one on both sides. Then there is a big window showing off campus.
"Damn, this is nice. I want this bed!" I walk over to the bed closest to the door. I set my bags onto it and slowly start unpacking, beginning with my clothes.
3 and ½ hours later, we are all done. We started decorating but it got tiring so we decided we'd finish tomorrow.
"Hey Loura?" Jae asked.
"hm?" I mumble back not looking up from my phone.
"Can we go exploring tomorrow after we finish?" She asked me. I paused and sat up. I furred my eyebrows trying not to laugh. "What..?
"No Jae, no we cannot. We are going to stay here cooped up in our dorm room all day. Obviously we're going exploring!" I joke sarcastically laughing a bit.
"Okay okay! I just wanted to make sure." She smiled also laughing.
Later that night, we watched Grey's Anatomy on Netflix and fell asleep. First day at college... done.
