Your POV

After Andy walked into his room, I went to mine. I flew onto my bed, smiling, thinking about what had just happened. Damn Andy has really began to show me what love feels like. I think I actually love him. My phone buzzed on my night stand. Who could be texting me though? I looked over to see Andys name on my phone. I laughed and slid it open. 'Hey babe, what would you think about going to a nice dinner tonight? :)' I was never much to go out to fancy places, but with Andy was a different story. Instead of texting back I yelled through my room "SURE BAAABE" laughing. I could hear him laughing too. I stood up to get dressed. I searched for my nice black jeans, a white stop that laced up in the front, small heels, and my favorite earrings. I sqeezed into my jeans and laced up my top. After putting in my earrings and sliding on my shoes, I carefully drew on eyeliner and mascara. I looked in the mirror, unsatisfied. I took a deep breath and tried to smile at my reflection. I could see behind me a tall, incredibly handsome man, dressed in black jeans, a black polo shirt and a blazer, hair slightly pushed back. His hands were in his pockets and he was leaning up against the door frame, smiling at me. I turned around and looked at him. "You look absolutley beautiful (Y/N)" he said. I smiled and remarked "You don't look bad yourself" with a smile, looking him up and down. He held out his hand "Let's go then gorgeous." I held onto his hand while we walked down to the restaruant. On the way there we talked about all of our favorite bands, laughing the whole way. When we got there he guided me past a line of people greeting the man at the door with a hug. Looking confused he explained to me "(Y/N) this is my friend, Jake. We have been friends for a looong time, and we are starting a small band together." Jake smiled at me and shook my hand, "Its nice to finally meet you (Y/N)." "You too" I said smiling but timidly. Jake ascorted us to a table and instantly brought out drinks and appetizers for us. Andy thanked him and began to sip on his drink. The whole dinner we talked about our favorite movies, best concerts, favorite places to travel to, and the list goes on. Andy had been glancing at my chest, trying not to make it noticeable. I caught his eyes with a questioning look in my eyes. Andy stuttered "Um..your necklace? I'm sorry I can't help but notice it. Its really pretty. Is there any story behind it?" Relived I touched my necklace with a guitar pick and a tiny locket with an achor engraved in it. I reached back to unclip my necklace and dropped in my hands. "The locket was my mothers, before...well you know...and it has a picture of her and my dad in it. This guitar pick is from the first concert I ever went to. A lot of thhe music helped me through a lot of hard times. The band broke up, but the memories are still there and it makes me happy." I said smiling. I looked up to see that Andy was looking at me, not the necklace. He looked down and smiled back at me. "That's really cool. I actually have something quite similar..." he said reaching into his jeans pocket. He pulled out the appartment key, his car keys, and at the very end was a faded guitar pick. He took it off and studied it carefully. "When I was kicked out of my house, this was the only pick I managed to save. I practiced and practiced and wrote songs and it is just a memory to me. It reminds me that hard times will pass, you just have to keep playing." He looked at me are his hand touched mine, opening it up, and slowly placing the pick in my hand. "keep it." he said with a smile across his face. Shocked I stammered, "No way Andy this is YOUR pick, its your memories, and your hope." "Well its yours now. I'm not taking it. I used to cling too hard to this thing, but you have shown me different and you have made so happy." I smiled at him about to cry. "Andy...thats so sweet." I leaned across the table and kissed him. "but Andy you do NOT need to do this." "I know, but I want to, please take it." I took my necklace, took off the locket, and replaced it with the pick. Andy stood up and took the necklace. He brushed my hair to one side and gently place the pick around my neck. I looked up at him and he kissed my forehead. "You mean the world to me". After he said this he placed money on the table, and held my hand the whole way home.
