Julia Miller's POV
'So we just have to grab him, hear him out and let him go again?''Yes, Miller, that's it.'
'Fine,' I growl at my dad. He's giving us the briefing of our next mission. He's the right hand of sir Collins, the big boss.
'Don't you whine. You can use force to get the information out of him?'
'Fine.' The rest of my crew chuckles. They know how I am with letting the guy go again. I don't like it one bit, but we will do as he says.
'He still needs to give his info and money, Miller. Now make sure your team is ready at the pickup point. We can't fuck up this job, because this might be our last chance before he disappears again. Good luck.' My dad walks out of the briefing room we are in. That's leaving me with my team.
'Okay guys, we can do this. Ruben, Elise and Ryan, I want you in the van ready to pull him in. Dylan, I want you on the roof to have an overview. We will grab him at this ally. I will be in it to push him your way, together with Charles. Yes?' They all nod in agreement. That's my team.
'Okay, get ready for tonight. I will see you at eight in front.' They get out of the briefing room and I sit down for a second.
We're a good team. We're all successors, meaning all our parents are or have been in this gang. They decided to train us almost from birth, so we have been training together since forever. We know each other's skills through and through and we're the perfect team. We're a family.
'Ready?' I whisper into the walkie to the rest of my team who's in position.
'Yes, Miller.' I receive three times. That's good.
'He's coming out of the club, but there's someone close in front of him. It's a girl.' Dylan signaling us.
'I will take her,' I tell the team and wait till she comes into view to grab her by her waist and throat. I hold her tightly against my body.
'Don't say one word or you're dead,' I whisper at her so we won't startle the man. We still have to finish this mission.
'One word?' she answers. Really? Is she serious about this right now? I'm trying to save her and she decided to be stubborn. My body reacts by pushing her against the wall by her throat.
'I said don't say a freaking word,' I hiss back at her. She better shut the fuck up right now.
Her eyes find mine, they glisten in the moonlight. Damn, she is beautiful though. I hear Charles running and the van stopping next to the ally. Okay, they got him hopefully. Her gaze goes up and down my body. Is she checking me out right now? I smirk realizing that.
'You enjoying yourself?' She stays silent. Where did the stubbornness go now?
'Cat caught your tongue, honey?'
'No, you didn't allow me to talk, remember?' I laugh once she answers. That's cute. I'm getting curious now.
'Okay, smart ass, tell me your name.' I caress her cheek with the back of my fingers. It's a soft touch, showing I don't mean no harm, even though I grabbed her like that.
'Nothing worth mentioning. Now I'd like to go home.' Well I'm not one to keep a poor girl trapped. She's a bit tipsy I can see it in her eyes. I chuckle and step back. I could bring her home, but I won't be a creep like the dude we just caught. I need to go there actually.
'Well, princess, you be on your way then.'
My feet take me away over to the building a block away where the guy is tied up. I walk in to all of my teammates.
'Sorry guys, it took a bit longer than expected.' My lips form a smirk.
'Of course, you needed to flirt again right?'
'You know me, Dylan. As if flirting didn't work for you.' I nod towards Ryan, his boyfriend.
'I'm not using him like you use girls.'
'Fine, whatever. Let's focus for now.' Ruben punches the guy in the gut, making him cough and bend over.
'We have something to talk about, Paul.' He looks shocked that I know his name. I'm sure we can get some information from him.
