Beidou admired the tall, glimmering buildings of the city, It's been awhile since she hasn't been on a boat. Shame it was for a tragic reason..
The taxi she was on halted to a stop, signaling that her stop was here.
"Thank you." She paid the driver and headed out to the hotel.
--------
Beidou's POV
"Thanks again for coming guys.." Lumine thanked us all.
It was the night before the funeral and we all decided to go out for a meal together at Wanmin Restaurant.
It would be an understatement to say Lumine didn't look well, it was apparent she hasn't been sleeping well. No matter how much she says she's been resting, the bags under her eyes say the entire truth. It wasn't easy to lose someone so close, especially someone as close to you as your twin.
"We all haven't seen each other since what, Highschool?" Xiangling said, she was a junior in Highschool last time I saw her. Now here she is years later, as a celebrity chef with her own successful restaurant.
Everyone had made sure to make Lumine enjoy herself that night, It was evident that she was sad so others tried to help as well.
I didn't have any recollection from the night after Xiangling's words, but it must've been something epic as hell.
--------
3RD PERSON'S POV
It was a day of mourning and sadness, the stench of tragedy filled the air. Everyone was wearing Black and white. I wore a black suit, the sound of a dress didn't seem fun.
As the casket sinked into the ground, Lumine was in hysterics. Crying into Paimon's shoulder. The rest of the crowd was silent, remembering the feats of the Traveler.
I wandered the cemetery, nothing felt more comfortable in this moment then the aura of death,
That's when i saw her, She arrived late and paid her condolences. This was the first time we saw each other since graduation day many years prior.
Her waist-length hair was tied into a neat ponytail, gold jewelry complimented her outfit of a simple white blouse, black pants and black high heels. She was absolutely radiant.
"Hey."
"Hi."
Awkwardness filled the air, it was weird to see your ex at a friend's funeral wasn't it?
"So why were you late? Couldn't get a ride?" I asked her as a tease,
"I couldn't get off work. I heard from Xiangling you all had an eventful dinner last night." The elegance that her words carried, it was something that I missed and ached for these last years.
"Oh yeah. Did you become the business woman you dreamed to become?" I asked her, even though I already knew the answer to my own question.
"Yeah, how about you? Still living your life at sea?" I nodded at her question,
"Are you just mostly cooped up in your work? Have anytime to date people?" This one stung a bit, though I made sure to get over her. It stung thinking of her in the arms of another human.
"I haven't seen anyone since graduation. Dating seems like a waste of time, time that I could be using to gain more mora." She remarked. I let out a brief laugh and sat down on the ground,
"You always had an obsession with gaining more mora. You really didn't change much through the years Ning."
As a response, she sat down on the grass beside me. "You didn't change much as well Beidou."
"Seems that way doesn't it? I missed you Ning." I didn't even believe the words coming out of my mouth, It seemed all those years of trying to get over her went all into the trash bin when I see her.
"Me too Beidou, I missed you too." I was preoccupied staring at the other gravestones around us, but that response got me to turn my head. I was sure she was joking at first, but then again Ning wasn't the type to joke and it was evident in her face she was serious.
I stared at her, my face had "are you serious?" written all over it.
"Really, I did. It's a miracle you even wanted to speak to me after graduation.. What I said that day-"
"Sh, we don't think back to that." I shushed her, graduation wasn't the best day for us.
"Still, I apologize for what I said before.. You didn't deserve any of that." Her head dropped, hiding her face from me.
"We were kids then Ning, we know better now. It's all in the past either way." I will admit it, what she said that day stayed on my mind even years after.
"Yeah, we were kids.. and we swore we'd never see each other again."
"Well you know what they say, Never say never right?" She let out a quiet laugh as the sky turned gray,
"Are you asking me out at a funeral?"
"Do you want me too?" I teased, it reminded me of our days in Highschool. The nostalgia hits different.
"Maybe." She looked over at me with a small grin.
"I'm staying at the Wangshu inn, and I'm staying till Tuesday. I'm being generous and giving you three days to think it over." I stood up, dusted my pants and went back to the crowd.
Later in the night, Ningguang knocked on my door.

SORRY IF IT'S SHORT
I had a lot of fun writing this while endlessly looping EXO,
I was planning a different plot for a Beigguang chapter but writing something like this seemed fun.
If this chapter was kinda confusing, I'll sum up the gist of it.
Aether said I'll see you in celestia and everyone came to his funeral, Beigguang included.
Beidou and Ningguang were dating in highschool but ended their relationship at graduation when they decided to just end it.
But like they said, they were kids back then. Here they are as adults and you know the rest of it.
